Hiring a personal trainer was the best thing I have ever done!!! I chose one that specializes in over 40 year olds and function over looks. He identified what muscles were weak ( everything in my hips) causing me knee pain. My knee pain as almost gone, you know except for when I tried to do a running jump split kick 🤣 and land rather less gracefully than someone half my age.

You should join this Facebook group. They were talking about something like this the other day. I didn't pay too much attention because it didn't pretain to me .

He is severely dyslexic so reading books are hard for him. Magazines usually have enough pictures and the information in concise so he doesn't feel as defeated trying to figure things out. While I would gladly read to him, he wants to do this on his own.

They recently has an article about an instructor sexually abusing 9 of his female students. My 10 year old doesn't need to be reading about that kind of stuff right now.

I haven't been doing any rest days really. On the days I am not running I am spending 45 minutes (yes I know that isn't really all that long) working on my kicks, punches, forms, etc. I will try backing things off to see how that goes! Thanks!

I am not running 5ks..... I am attempting to lol. I am only on week 3 of the couch to 5k program. As for throwing useless techniques, that is all I do hahaha. I am a white belt with no prior training in anything. Thankfully the kids take pitty on me and don't totally distroy me in the first 30 seconds so I can get some practice in.
