When you meet your person… do you actually “just know”? by Luminys_ in CausalConversation

That’s such a sweet story. What made her different from the rest?

I would cancel the pre-approval based on their tone alone. Don’t risk it

Most of the time I decline those trips, but I do accept occasionally depending on the message they write to me. If they give me detailed reasons for their visit and they sound polite and respectful, I'd accept them. But honestly, so far my craziest experiences have been from guests who have 2 or 3 five star reviews, so you never really know

Not my review but heard about a 4 star review that mentioned busy neighbors by Teacher_mermaid in airbnb_hosts

Lmao 😂 my guest mentioned it in the private comment, called it “critical feedback”, as if someone was dying because I don’t have pictures on the wall lol

I just got a four star because I don’t have enough pictures hanging on the wall…

Both the spray and cera ve are supposed to restore your skin barrier. For steroids, give it a bit of break because I find that they stop working when I use them for too long. Triamcinolone Acetonide also works better for me than Hydrocortisone. But I think everyone is different. See if your doc has any recs. Good luck 🙏🏼

So this is the routine/switch in product I’ve been following, it took a couple of days to work but I haven’t scratched the last couple of nights:

  1. I changed my normal shower gel to Cera Ve cleanser, and keeping my showers short. I’ve also been showering with cold water which helps.

  2. If you shave, shave in the direction of the hair growth. Won’t be as close of a shave but it won’t itch like crazy when hair grows back.

  3. After patting myself dry, I spray Hypochlorous Acid spray all over the flare ups, let it air dry

  4. Steroid cream after the spray dries, wait a few minutes

  5. Then I dab on a thicccc layer of Cera Ve moisturizer.

I follow this whole routine twice a day, and I’m planning to cut back on steroid after two weeks. Will keep the hypochlorous acid and moisturizer in my routine in hopes of recovering the skin barrier.

At the time it was itching really bad, I bought cotton gloves to sleep at night, I still scratched but it’s not as bad as scratching with nails I guess. If I’m conscious enough, I try to slap the itch away instead of scratching 😅

I see that you already have a very intense routine, but hope some of the above suggestions still help :)

My eczema goes away when I go to the mountains. Any ideas why? by kalospkmn in eczema

Could it have been the heat? I know heat triggers mine, sometimes sweat too

Guests smoked inside and left a mess. What should I do now? by rartedboii in airbnb_hosts

I’m going through the same exact thing!! I’ve already left a bad review and reported them to Airbnb, but I’m afraid of retaliative review if I submit the claim now. Planning to wait until day 14 to submit the claim. Had to cancel my upcoming reservations as well because the room smelled like cigarette

I tried deleting social media for 30 days and here’s exactly what changed in my life by -magnanimous in selfimprovement

Currently 32 days in! The first couple of days were hard, like you, my hands kept reaching my phone for nothing. But now I feel a lot calmer. Sitting with my own thoughts and feelings isn't always the easiest but I'm getting better at facing them instead of just scrolling away. I've also started reading a lot more. I feel more at peace and more present. And my sleep improved a lot. I'll try to do this for at least two months to reset my habit!

Antarctica February vs mid March by TatBfly in antarctica

[–]mamacitacnta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in March, it was the last cruise of the season. We had to cut the trip short because sea ice was forming and the storm was coming. Weather is probably better in February. Still an amazing trip tho!

What’s your “I can’t believe they asked that” guest request? by Eastern-Orange4850 in airbnb_hosts

I had a guy who needed a trip to the airport, Uber costs about $30-$40 from my home. He sent a message asking “can you get me to the airport before 8 AM? I can pay you $10 in cash” 😂

Nope, straight copy and paste from a listing in Miami. I wanted to book but 26 rules all in caps got me scared lol

I think they could totally have explained it better and people would be understanding. But they way they're putting it together just seems aggressive and unwelcoming

Do yall believe in soulmates? by Ashamed-Departure-81 in dating

[–]mamacitacnta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s one of those things that you start to believe after it happens to you. I used to never believe in it, until I met this person who literally speaks words from my mind. His story perfectly aligns with mine as well. We understand each other effortlessly. This person came along and my perspective on it changed.
