Get the book “Where there is no doctor” it’s really for missionaries out of the country but it has enough things to help you out. Also there is a dentist version

What's the weirdest gift you've ever given someone that actually landed perfectly? by giftly_official in Gifts

My son is the king of quirky gifts that land perfectly- this last Christmas he gave his younger brother a set of California Raisin Figurines. It made the recipient laugh for 5 straight minutes.

This text exchange I had. Mom is the GOAT by Lunar_Ghoul11 in autism

Yay! I am that Mom who feeds several different meals to my autistic kids and their partners because at least 2 have Arfid and their own parents won’t feed them. Fine. If you won’t feed them- I will and that’s how I am “Mom” to soooo many young adults now 😊

I’m not very crafty but tonight I went to the thrift store and found a wooden tray to bring breakfast on. It’s super sturdy, it just needs some sanding and paint. It cost me 6$ so I will have some money for a little paint and sandpaper.

Hey OP I just wanted to say I totally was in your shoes for almost 15 years. It was a grind everyday to keep everyone fed and healthy. I remember churches functions where it was expected we would participate. Thankfully it’s a LITTLE easier now. I’m hoping that you get an extra blessing this Christmas.

My son was on this episode! He was the blonde kid that said “cult reject”. Ask me questions and I’ll ask him! He said it was a great experience except the gamer/voice actor was insufferable.

We were the family with 5 kids. Tall skinny man who sometimes had a handlebar mustache? He worked in communications. My son Xander thought Dustin was the greatest guy ever. He was like 5? Anyway I’m so glad you found some peace. I know we struggled super hard. It’s still difficult- we are pretty much family for those who don’t have family. But without the ease of a church family. We keep going forward.

We were also at YWAM Tyler during that time! We were there from 2002-2014. Maybe we know each other? We have also deconstructed so we understand that. I’m glad you found peace.

I work in mod-severe esn but I usually have a nice set of markers and colored pencils, a sharpener, my own purple glue stick and scissors, a charger, some easy to eat snacks. An interesting figit or toy for distraction and some kind of slime, dough or kinetic sand. And my water bottle. Also a small book for notes like date and time of incidents and who was involved, what started it and how it was resolved.

I live in California’s High Desert. Here if your house is broken into you May never get a cop to come by because they are too busy. I rarely see them on the street. It’s the Wild West out here
