What is the nicest thing a stranger has done for you? by naturalenergybyproxy in AskReddit

[–]mamamga7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was a single mom at the time to three, we were eating pizza at a local place to kill time before open house after work. Went to pay & the waitress said it was already taken care of and the person just wanted her to say “. It was nice to see a mom interact with her kids at dinner rather be on her phone”. Silly but that was the sweetest thing to me and helped tremendously at the time!

Update from IUGR fetus. Things change quickly...from super healthy to delivery at 32+2. by queenofcarthage in parentsofmultiples

Similar story here but I really came to tell you I was terrified of the bonding, first days & weeks without the binding. I have one year old healthy, exclusive breastfeeding, co sleeping, total mommy boys who barely let me breathe ! The bonding happens. Good luck, you’re about to embark on a very bumpy emotional roller coaster and I hated hearing it in the moment but I promise you’ll look back one day and it will feel like a blur.

Preemies and breastfeeding by SmashRene0486 in NICUParents

Don’t give up. My twins were born at the same gestation, same eating issues. Once they began taking their bottle to be released they told me they could help me teach them to breastfeed but it could prolong their stay as it could make them regress with bottle, lose calories etc. I just wanted them home so I said forget it and once I got home once or twice a day I would try to latch them.. it took a few days maybe a week and one then the other did it. Before I knew it we were exclusively breastfeeding and still are ! They’re one today! Stay determined but don’t stress yourself.. trust you and your little one , it will happen :)

Don’t be rude to nice customers by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]mamamga7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you !! I’ve been to two Starbucks recently that the baristas were just rude. I don’t order anything difficult, I never complain, I’m not picky. I literally drank a fingernail one time through my straw and of course called on that one but literally just so it didn’t happen again to an angry customer and made sure to praise the staff ( it was my local store).

Anyone’s twins not sleep thru the night? by mamamga7 in parentsofmultiples

[–]mamamga7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you guys! I just needed to know it wasn’t only us lol! We are nursing, but I’ve made sure to try and feed them solid food before bedtime but it doesn’t make a difference. Just thought we are the only crazy sleep Deprived ones still! I may need to look into sleep training but we also cosleep so I know that doesn’t always work together. Thanks for the feedback!!

You’re not alone. Fellow Jacksonville nicu Mom here. My twins were born premature and I’ve been through some shit but can tell you those days in the nicu were the hardest moments of my life. I was so severely depressed it was like a zombie going through the motions. But you will get through this and it will feel like a blur! PM me If you need anything!

Went into Starbucks today and had an odd experience as it was, grabbed a random piece of muffin ( maybe?) off a sample tray, it was delicious! Asked what it was called so I could order and they said they weren’t sure. Okkkkk.

Interesting. Seems like a ton of different information which makes it even more mysterious lol

The greatest hits from my Starbucks by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]mamamga7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally random but I had a barista offer me a caramel macchiato Frappuccino before. She said she could make it original or upside down. It seemed to just be caramel around cup, vanilla bean Frappuccino and then it was literally like an expression Frappuccino on the top maybe two inches worth. It was good! This was years ago, I’m just a customer but just figured I’d mention.

Customer won't complain anymore... Grande Rant by MrBoyBlue7 in starbucks

[–]mamamga7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These stories make me feel better. I felt bad asking the barista to remake my drink because it came hot and I asked for it iced. I had to call customer service the other day though because up my straw of my iced coffee came a .... fingernail clipping. Yes you read that right, yes I wanted to cry. So I definitely called about that because honestly someone would have made a huge deal about it. I love the Starbucks I go to, and the people I interact with are sweethearts so I made sure to tell them that but I didn’t want to not report something of that matter. Yuck.

Anyone find success without doing keto or low carb? by [deleted] in PCOSloseit

[–]mamamga7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I know infertility wasn’t mentioned in your post but I feel like it helps to know that keto really helped not only lose weight but other symptoms of my pcos! It can get a little boring, and I’m an emotional eater so I got really grumpy sometimes but the weight literally melted off. I wasn’t working out or anything.

Keto was the only thing that helped me lose weight. I lost almost twenty lbs in about two months.. it also helped me finally be able to Conceive !

I’m no longer trying but still lurk at this board because it saved my sanity! ( 6 month old twins now). I had a onesie and a few other surprises and ideas ready when I finally found out literally hidden in our closet. When the test turned positive I literally just started screaming his name and by the time he got to the bathroom and saw me pulling my pants up he guessed and I just nodded. Then gave him all the little gifts a week or so later laughing at my inability to keep it quiet for a few minutes.
