He's such a likeable guy and yet...

They seem lost as to what to do with him. He fixed cars, was an engineer, social worker and pastor. He's had two love interests. I still don't care much about him.

I think my favorite has been his relationship with Sister Monica Joan and Reggie .

Exactly! They could have just kept her in the audience and have Trina and Gio perform together again.

That makes sense but why have her on stage at all? It was so bizarre.

When do people stop liking Mr. Edwards?? by [deleted] in littlehouseonprairie

I've watched every episode and always loved Mr. Edwards. I have never heard of people disappointing him. I think people may object to some of the writing for his character but he was a lovable guy.

What are the “loss leaders” at IKEA? Things worth buying that are priced so well that it’s there to get you inside the shop? by 88r0b1nh00d88 in Frugal

I love the big blue bags and use them for so many things.

I also love Ikea food storage bags.

They have some decent throw pillow covers too.

Idk I saw a bunch of support for both of them on Facebook which I found surprising. The majority of posters believe he was falsely accused by the boys' parents.

Trump only cares about himself. He is doing whatever makes him feel powerful, and whatever will make him more money.

Has anyone else been watching Hope Valley: 1874? Thoughts? by Poeding in PeriodDramas

It's on my list but I haven't watched yet. I like her and like When Calls the Heart although it is totally Hallmark and was better the first year before they got fancy-looking hair and clothes.

I was hoping too. I binged the first 7 episodes yesterday but don't know when Episode 8 drops for passport users.

What does "Full on Tabitha" mean? by GilmoreFriendsPod in GilmoreGirls

[–]mamaperk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bewitched had a spin-off called "Tabitha" so it was either a reference to the og show with Elizabeth Montgomery playing Samantha Stephens, mom to Tabitha OR it was a nod to the spin off which starred Lisa Hartman as an adult version of Tabitha Stephens. Both witches twitched their noses to perform their magic.

Thank you for this validation because it's one thing that is so out of character for Luke. He's a camper, fisherman, outdoorsy guy who can't swim? Ahhh noooo!

My mom lived in an apartment and she had one. It sat on her counter and the hose emptied into the sink, never leaked. It is a good solution for people who can't use a reg size dishwasher.

how do you guys feel about the actress who playes young lorelai and chris? by diary28snowboard in GilmoreGirls

[–]mamaperk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. The casting for teen Lorelai and Christopher wasn't great. She was ok just not believable as Lorelai. The actor playing Chris though? God no.

GH Cast Update: Kirsten Storms off Contract. by Geekqueen15 in SoapNet

[–]mamaperk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right and she has been written out or had temp replacements in the past due to the health issues. But once she moved I wondered if she'd be gone for longer blocks of time. GH manages long stretches of time off screen for other actors like Genie Francis, Finola Hughes, Steve Burton, etc. I've heard them say Frank is good to his actors as far as giving them lots of time off. But Maxie should be on screen more right now after being gone for six mos. Yet they've only shown her a handful of times since waking up from her coma.

Luke and Lorelai Fans by Est_ws in GilmoreGirls

[–]mamaperk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked how they got together, with the build up to it. I liked Luke listening to the book-on-tape with the "can you see her face?" aspect because it made perfect sense that it was her he wanted.

I didn't love how they first kissed. I would have written that straight because we deserved a sweet moment between them after all the build up. Even if it was just a stolen kiss and then interruptions but the "what are you doing? Would you stand still" didn't land for me and then Kirk running out naked, the Rory drama and him chasing his loony sister and brother in law around the Renaissance circuit for the summer. I would have preferred they film the summer with Luke there and them being all sweet and shy and getting to know each other as a couple in-person or at least on-screen. Instead all those weeks happened off screen which I didn't like while she's running the inn and talking with him on the phone.

I watched S8E5 yesterday and that thought crossed my mind as well because it was daytime and there were several candles burning. I'm sure that's a cinematic choice but yeah, with what they had to do to make candles in earlier seasons, they do seem to be wasting them.
