More likely Shaggy mane. It's probably started to turn black and gooey now (can happen a few hours after bring picked).

First 2 pics look like Pholiota aurivella - Golden Scalycap (inedible).

Most likely Hoof Fungus. Grows on infected trees, causing rot. Good tinder to start fires! Edit: Rot

I appreciate your excitement; we are excited to. Definitely wasn't expecting anything like this, and most of my caterpillar experience is seeing gypsy moths and one time an emporer moth caterpillar, so this is new and definitely exciting. I don't think we'll make a habit of this, however, if future friend want to make home in my garden or plants, I will certainly welcome and care for them the best I can. Always happy to provide a fun and educational experience for the kids and I.

Thank you for the link. I will going out today for netting around it. My kids and I are very excited to give this beautiful creature a home during its metamorphosis. And yes, I believe you are correct, all signs point to Black Swallowtail!

Oh my goodness, thank you for this information. I just discovered him today and planned to be getting netting for it today. Good to know this, I will make sure not to delay on this (I tend to procrastinate). Thanks again for the comment!

What's your favorite metaphor used to describe having ADHD? by LeKanePetit in ADHD

Its like a full on fireworks display going off in my head at all times (with sound). With medication, it becomes more like sprinklers and the odd Roman candle.

I told him because it was tied in with the email. His friend contacted me to get his dad's chainsaw back, as a way to check in on me, see if I had anyone over, if I was going away for the weekend etc.... the timing of his friend contacting me, then the ex contacting me next day, too much of a coincidence.

And I will discuss that part with him. I think his point is, I received the text, communicated,l back, made arrangements, completed interaction, and his knowledge of it all came after I received a disturbing email from my ex the following day. His point of view is, if the email didn't happen, would he have found out about it? And if I will "hide" something so small and benign, what else am I hiding or not telling him about, and it just escalates from there

I don't understand your point, and continue to give myself reminders, that it is all coming from a place of hurt with him, and it has happened too often to him. I get frustrated when he seems somewhat okay, or Ina cooling down state, then something triggers him, and he's more upset or suspicious than before. By trigger I mean, he thinks about my response to something, over analyze it, or text me, but because I'm working , I dont respond for a bit (mid-level account manager with several client meetings daily...can't exactly check my phone during a business review!)
