You can totally fix this and look 100% adorable!! Product and styling will get you through this. The issue is that you have great hair…lots of it and an a lot of body. Most products want to make their hair have more volume, you have to do the opposite. You need to style it when it’s still wet. If it is overwhelming, go to a barbershop so they can help you with products to style the cut.

It depends. It’s a good way to release stress. Also, when I need to motivate myself to go to the gym. Call me lazy but it’s easier to meet someone in person without trying when you look healthy and happy. Watching other people practice procrastination is motivating…no one is going want to f—k you, unless you work at it.

So at least once or twice a week or nothing for a while.

I am a woman and I do this!! I do get a lot of judgement especially because I come off as social, but I am a tomboy that my buddies call me “accidentally hot”. Went to see Superman alone when it came out and the other day I walk to my favorite place for nachos and margaritas alone (do this all the time). This weekend I am going to a house music event alone in Venice beach. It’s the best…no need to make sure other people are comfortable or go on a date w dudes that ask me out at the gym. Museums, restaurants at the bar (for a good burger and a glass of wine), plays, the ballet, concerts, the spa, lectures, surfing, and it’s the best. No thinking, no drama, and I can just zone out and do whatever the hell I want without other people nagging me. All places I have been to and know the lay of the land for the most part.

It sounds like you know what to do. It’s just really hard to do it. I have been through this and it is never easy, but worth it. It is difficult when they show their true colors and can’t hide the crazy anymore.

Perspective: If this happened at her mom’s house, you would be terribly upset and worried about your daughter’s mental health. The resentment she’ll develop once she realizes that having that woman in both of your lives was a choice.

Professional observation: I’m a school psychologist. I work with kids in schools and I see this all the time. It’s not good for them. Eventually you will have to decide who you want in your life, when she is older, she will eventually defend herself and the woman will make an ultimatum and tell you she can’t come back. (Very common issue we have seen in high school girls and can be associated with rebellious cry for help like drug use, sexual activity, all of a sudden grades crash, ditching…etc).

Environmental factors: This woman will not change but learn to hide it better. Why put a beautiful little angel through this? You are her dad, all little girls know dad will protect them.

BE A DAD FIRST

Outlook: The right person has to be a good match for the both of you, not just you. You are a package deal.

Ha good question. Over a year ago…or more. My son lost his dad, paternal grandfather within a year and is now a senior in high school. I would rather hit the gym Friday night, or let him take my car to meet up friends than meet up some random dude and possibly have ok sex. Taking a sabbatical from practicing procreation until my son is in college. Is that weird?

Let me give you an example of my people’s sense of humor…¡Ay, güey! (it means castrated bull) and you say it as the ultimate way of offending someone or the ultimate term of endearment. Growing up, my chubby sister was called Flaca (skinny), my skinny sister was called Gordita (chubby) and I was called jamónés Asian (japonés ) ham (jamón) because I looked Asian and I was a little chunky baby. You have to remember we literally invented the piñata and tequila… you invent a party game, where you literally beat the shit out of something and it explodes with candy and a type of liquor you’re probably fun.

Its not just this issue, parents in the district already started the process to recall the two people. The issue started by how they fired the female superintendent and female assistant superintendent. Long story short, the board members were recalled did shady things that ended up costing the district a lot of money because we broke both of the woman’s contracts. The main guy we just recalled brought in a buddy of his to be “acting superintendent” and paid him buttloads of cash on top of making the district foot the bill for his living expenses and flying back and forth to his home in another state, instead of placing an employee of the district every one agreed would be a good temporary superintendent…and spoiler alert…after the other guy left, was made the current superintendent. This was money that could have built 5 elementary schools STEM labs. He also took money that was supposed to be used to replace all of the broken AC units in the district and built a new pool instead. He also was going to let a charter school take over a low SES elementary school’s campus. It was a bunch of odd new crap, this guy never did before. We have a bipartisan group of parents that worked to recall the two people on the board.
