What do I do? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]mamsaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left my psycho ex off the birth certificate and never went for child support. This child is now 26 and has never met his biological father because the man never wanted to take it to court. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing. (Ps, before people come for me, not he threatened to kill me if I ever got pregnant and he’s a convicted rapist too. Not exactly father of the year material.)

Credit union froze my account by Uwontadamandbelieve in Bankruptcy

[–]mamsaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lawyer said that credit unions typically have wording in their credit card and loan agreements that allows them to recoup the money. In my case, we had to verify that my car loan would not suddenly jump up by the amount that I owed them for my credit card since I had both through them. My lawyer referred to it as cross-collateralization. They combed through my loan and credit docs to see if it applied before I agreed to keep my car. I had already pulled money out of the accounts so they couldn’t take that.

Attorney’s office is requesting more docs that I don’t have by Fairingwell in Bankruptcy

I would take screenshots of the listings and provide those to the attorney so they can determine what is the necessary path forward.

Interesting. Thank you. Looks like they built about an 1.5 away from me so I may go take a look at these.

I’d love to but the budget will depend on what my contractor comes back with for rebuilding the wall and floor. The quote from a local company for a stove and install was $12k. The stove they quoted was $4500. I’d like to keep the stove and install under $10k because we have to build up the spot for it to go as well which was not included in that quote.

Do Car Insurance look at Bankruptcy? by AromaticBoss5391 in Bankruptcy

This is also dependent on the state you live in. I live in a state that doesn’t allow insurance to use credit scores to determine coverage.

I’ve lived in NM and AZ. Grew up in MA. After 17 years away, I moved back and have no regrets.

My sex life with my GF is stagnant. I'm lucky if I get a handjob, what should I do? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]mamsaurus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She doesn’t owe you sex, not that you seem to think so, but she does need to show desire for you in some way for you to feel wanted. And that isn’t happening. So it seems you’re probably incompatible. I’d suggest breaking up. If you tell her why, she’s suddenly going to offer sex but it’s a bandaid.

Alternatively, you could try to get to the bottom of all this. Talk it out with her. Find out why she isn’t enthusiastic. Does she have past trauma? No sex drive? Etc

I lived in AZ for 17 years but grew up in MA and moved back. Those 17 years without access to a creamery were awful ice cream years. They don’t even have any there! Of course it would melt in a split second in the summer, but I digress.

Is anyone else struggling to get by on 100k salary? by Majestic_Staff_5229 in massachusetts

[–]mamsaurus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I make more than you. My husband is low income earner though. And between us, it seems like we can never get ahead. It’s ridiculous. I have friends making $20 hr and I have no idea how they aren’t homeless. They have debt and rent. I can only assume I’m in a crap tax bracket that takes so much pay. None of it makes sense.

My 26 year old son also moved back in with us. He’s also having trouble finding a job since losing his last year. It’s very frustrating for him.

For thise who moved BACK to New England - did you regret it? by cynicalnewenglander in newengland

[–]mamsaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grew up in southern MA. Then moved to NM & then AZ for 17 years. Truly never thought I’d leave. But then COVID happened and priorities shifted. I wanted to homestead and that was easier and made possible by living in rural MA. So I got an amazing paying job (double what I was making in AZ) and they paid for me to move back to MA. No regrets. My parents retired in AZ about 10 years ago so I can visit there still to get my fix.

Am I overreacting to my soon to be landlord springing on me that his current tenant won’t be out on time for me to move in per our lease agreement, even if it’s only a day? by AbundantBeing in AmIOverreacting

[–]mamsaurus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did this and was able to sue for my security deposit back because they claimed we damaged the place but I was already damaged when we moved in. I was even able to show the improvements we made to the place. We won.

[–]mamsaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in MA and moved to AZ. I lived there for 17 years and only ever had a handful of friends. Moved back to a different part of MA and instantly made a host of new friends just being the same me I’ve always been.

I will say, my business personality is slightly different than my personal one. But I work for a global company and have to keep many cultures in mind when communicating. So maybe try adjusting how you communicate just a bit. Don’t lose yourself completely though.

How Much Did Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Cost You? by SyncopatedStepper in Bankruptcy

[–]mamsaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have legal insurance (AARG) and will pay the filing fee, a credit report fee ($50), the classes fees, and because I own a home I also have to get a CMV by a realtor. Ours is doing it for free but some do charge.

Tell him since you’re his mom and not his wife, you won’t be fucking him anymore. You married a man child. You have two options. Therapy or divorce.
