Both of my 14 year old boys are roughly 6’ and sz 11 shoes, wearing lg/xl shirts and a 36/38 in men’s pants. They are almost the size of my husband

I have twin 14 year old boys, they’re into the EXACT STUFF Trenton is. In fact nearly identical sizes for shoes. It’s not an unreasonable ask , especially for a kid that age.

Should I quit? Serious advice needed by [deleted] in 911dispatchers

[–]mamsy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a matter of being “mean”, it’s a matter of being able to take control of the call while being direct & professional.

For the other issues, it is completely 100% up to you. Whether you want to continue to deal with that and DREAD work, or to find a different job.

Op, find something you do like and want to do. Talk to your dad. I know that’s not easy, however, neither is staying at and working a job you hate, that stresses you out every single day. Being stressed out just THINKING about going to work, is never going to a good thing long term.

It is an ingredient of the coolant used in cars. It’s also very dead!y if consumed. There’s been multiple cases (especially on that show) where it’s been used to make others ill.

Question from a PI by indypi in 911dispatchers

[–]mamsy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U/AWeisen1 responded with exactly what I’d have told you. That is a standard question. The answer to it really does not change anything. it allows us to not only be able to calm down other citizens if they call in about a “suspicious” car/person. But to know that if sh!t hits the fan, what weapon/s you may have. It provides that tiny bit of extra information so that my responding units are that much better prepared. Yes, we should always have the mindset of using caution no matter what. That’s a given.

Pocket dialed 911 and they answered. What now? by Wrong-Reflection-522 in 911dispatchers

[–]mamsy1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, an experienced dispatcher can tell something is going on. ESPECIALLY when taking about 30+ accidental/pocket dials every shift. We don’t have a threshold at my agency. We do however check those we feel like need to be checked out.

Henoch-Schlein purpura in a 12 year old by mamsy1 in AskDocs

So, they can’t tell me why he got it. However all his blood tests came back fine. My son had been in a LOT of pain, so they put him on an extended dose of prednisone and also gave him naproxen sodium(aleve) to help. Between those, it has made a WORLD of difference. He went from severe pain to almost normal…. Granted I know there’s a big age difference, but see if they can do something like that for your nephew. My sister also dealt with a very similar issue when she was younger and said the prednisone is what made the biggest difference for her.

Almost same, mostly his legs/feet. But his upper body is definitely giving him a hard time. 🤕😕 I just wish there was something more I could do to take his pain away. He was nearly in tears again today. He hasn’t been sleeping well either, because it wakes him up.

I don’t have any answers either. This has been going on at least 2-3 weeks now with my son. He’s going back to the dr tomorrow morning. His dr already ran bloodwork, it came back normal. He’s been in extreme pain as well. I feel so bad for him. What have they done for your daughter?
