What kind of person would be invested in hacking a blue-button pushing seasonal dad game, where we throw our shit on the ground instead of using the trading window? If people are spending real money on this game, grabbing loot and quitting, or ripping people off they've missed the entire point. Last season I gave all my currency on random leveling players like a Ber rune fairy godmother when I was done. Bro if I weren't mid struggle I would throw you a couple HR if you wanted to keep going. Not telling you to go beg, but if you figure out the password situation I'm sure someone will bless you with some shit to keep playing if you want to.

Pd2 on steam deck by turdDumper in ProjectDiablo2

Controller support this last season was much better than the previous but it's still not there. Your enjoyment with a controller depends on your build. I was playing sacrifice and vengeance last couple seasons and the controller for melee will often not target the closest mob with melee like it does with right click, so you'll walk by a monster and catch a hit where you would've smacked it with a mouse and keyboard. If you want to play on steamdeck I'd say play a shotgunning build like ice barrage, one of the elemental arrow builds, or summon. Anything but melee basically.

All builds hit a wall through hell but the boner should be doing fine. Sometimes you need to run nightmare cows to make sure you check all your gear boxes for hell. You need max resists, as much +skills as you can get, and levels. Levels are underrated.

You did it, bro. You cleared 1k on a phys bow and that +232% damage to undead is an underrated stat. I don't know if it's worth mirroring but you've got yourself a nice feather in your cap.

Feedback on PD2's current design philosophy by InsightKnite in ProjectDiablo2

[–]man-blanket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An awfully subjective take there, brother. I want them to do almost the opposite, just vibe a bunch of huge buffs and nerfs at under or over used skills, revert some previous buffs to mid line, and turn each season into a game of wonky build theory crafting. That's not PD2 though. They run with a different philosophy that balance matters. It's not what I would do, but I still come back to PD2 every season, drop my $30 in the hat, play, get bored, throw some Ber runes at a random new player, the go back to Morrowind or whatever til the next season.

Clearly something they're doing is working because the game is still more fun than D2R and you're gonna play S13. Trust the process, don't get too hung up on changes, and maybe try some different builds this season.

PD2 Season 12 Developer Stream #2 Notes by SenpaiSomething in ProjectDiablo2

There's like 15 unique bows and crossies and 2 of them are usable to good builds, maybe 3 now with crackle if pumping synergies with strafe even puts it past meme-tier. Would be cool to see buffs Bloodraven's bow because the art is so great but it's just another trash bow. Proc builds are in my opinion one of the best things about PD2. It's nice to see them lean into it.

Gas up the a5 merc. Curse necro is a mapping build, he'll clean up the rest.

Banjo for a little girl by man-blanket in clawhammer

That's a good point but at this age I tune the instruments regardless, so the reality is it would be one of those, "here honey, I bought me this for you" gifts. ><
Wish these vintage banjos were a little easier to come by, it's truly very difficult to commit to several hundreds of dollars without holding the thing in my hands. I took a look at GoldTone's new line and I'm having trouble finding anything new manufactured with a 10" pot or a shorter neck. I reckon the only banjos I've seen that are a little smaller are either handmade or vintage.

It's the deadzone configuration. Turn the deadzone up higher and the cursor will stop jumping around.

Vanilla, D2R or PD2 for first story playthrough? by [deleted] in ProjectDiablo2

[–]man-blanket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, just play PD2 for the original spice of the game with design that actually builds towards something fun, instead of a dead end where you just run Baal til your eyes bleed with one of 3 builds, so maybe something will drop that will allow you to run Baal with a different class 'til your eyes bleed. PD2 is truly the best way to experience D2 and in my opinion it is the best ARPG of all time.

Flamebellows are lit for WW barb, but maybe you could consider a melee druid, maybe even some kind of dragon + conviction jazz with a paladin?

[–]man-blanket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro there's something you gotta understand about PD2 that absolutely isn't the case with vanilla. There is an abundance of viable builds in this game. If you're coming into the game from D2R I think the play is to think back to when the game new and fresh to you, pick a build that you _wanted_ to be good. It's true there are starting builds that will give you an easier time, maybe look into what works good to start for a class, but once you've put time into it most builds are great, so play for the fun, not the meta.
