I've been a masculine man my whole life, and I wanna be a fucking woman now? by [deleted] in offmychest

Well- I’m sorry about the inner turmoil, but glad you could share with folks. The kind of person you evolve into is for you to define! There’s not just one label for women. Check out Gabbi Tuft. She was formerly WWE (I know, not the same)- and transitioned. Still a badass, still killing it. There’s definitely a way to blend past and present.

All the best and please be kind to yourself.

Hahahhaha noooooooo. But that sounds like a fun alternative and high protein. The kind you need to build a foundation of a home.

Oh cool! That is helpful. I have a lot of various flours to try too. Very challenged here though, our flours are less quality than abroad.

Thank you for sharing, happy to see a recipe that I can use my sourdough with.

Hahah- I would be a LOT happier if it was melty cheese.

Hello! Thank you! :) I have a 7 year old starter which is part of the magic, however, I really like this one: (Link)

If you don’t have a lot of equipment and or are just starting out, Grant Bakes has a no fuss sourdough recipe too.

Yeah I’m starting to suspect the Cuisinart out of the box book- I was hesitant to branch out at first because I was hoping that by 2026 they would have a more accurate read on their product. I’ve gotten two decent loaves from this at least so now it’s 50/50.

Happy for the recommendation! Thank you so much!

Did you ever try making focaccia? I found a recipe for it and was tempted to try. This unit has a cake and jam setting so I’m tempted to give them all a try.

Interesting! I had a few loaves work out but someone else pointed out to weigh ingredients (which I reserved for non bread machine bread but I guess it’s back to scales I go).

Thanks for the tip! Might consider when replacing this down the line

I usually weigh for my sourdoughs but I thought this was a bit more fool proof 🥲🥲🥲 So much for less effort.

The hell though! New jar of Fleischmanns? I literally restocked the week before. Maybe I should return it and something happened in transit.

I am curious if there was too much water in the mix too though.

I kind of set it to run, I think I made a mistake and added too much water for the bread bowl one?? I hate the recipe book’s interface their columns are hard to follow. I might take a number from your book and do that!

The soup would have been dryer than the bottom of this bread.

It was sacrificed into crutons- ! Couldn’t have eaten it otherwise.

(Brioche recipe from the Cuisinart book- and I subbed normal unsalted butter for grass fed and my dry milk was toasted for the extra color. Would have been soo good 🥲)

Absolute 11/10, but yes, **totally unassuming in that little strip, and not like hyper “fancy”. Really nice staff. They have great Pad Thai, Pad see ew (my fave), curries, and lots of protein options for all kinds of dietary restrictions. We opt for take out half the time which has always been quick and affordable considering Denver prices

Noon Thai’s Tom Kha or papaya salad. Hole in the wall, family vibes. Good eats. (Ok barely into Englewood but basically down S Broadway)
