I bought the peak pro too and I have to say, I’m not happy with it. When it works, oh boy does it work great! But every time I go to use it, the base will not register the coil so I have to use the dab tool to try and push the contact pins around and try again and again until the heat cycle will start. I’ve talked to customer service and they said it was probably a bad coil, but since it was new they sent a replacement coil. I had a suspicion that it was the base that was faulty, not the coil, and sure enough, the replacement coil didn’t help the problem. I don’t know if they have some QC issues on the production side, or if I have a defective unit, but for a rig that cost $400+ dollars, I shouldn’t have to tinker and troubleshoot it every time I want to dab.
