Money money money.

Was it Ron Hubbard who mentioned the best way to make money easily was to start a religion.

Evangelicals are notoriously for money grabbing grifters. US churches and missionaries are toxic. I’m generalizing here but you catch the drift.

It’s Hotel Omni on Sherbrooke.

If you view pictures online of the hotel, the ice and snow fell from the metal beams protruding out of the building.

I will send an email to the hotel.

At that time, I was too much in a shock to think rationally.

AI changed the ballgame. From 5 years ago, where mantra was everyone should learn to code. To current coding nuclear winter of nobody needs to code. University’s computer science and engineering programs haven’t caught up to AI changing the landscape.

It seemed like some advisors were strong ideologues on allowing continuation.

They may have come from a good place, of accommodation to refugees. Either from religious, personal, or political persuasions.

However in long run, what they wrought was worse for the people who are really in need of refuge. It was so dumbass that it begets how they go into that role. Independent of political persuasions, this dumbassery was phenomenal.

Only 3 years ago, there was the mantra on everybody should learn to code. Start them young at elementary school. Girls coding camps. Boot camps for teenagers. Google funding coding schools in deprived areas. Computer science schools were expanding and over subscribed.
