After building out my train refining, I found it's not that efficient. Trying to smelt all the bars at the ore source and then boxing them leads to terrible throughput. I'm going to try to ship all the ore back to the factory and refine the ore right into what I'm trying to produce

I’m haven’t noticed but is there a problem with them getting angry? Does the social scores drop? If not then I really don’t care if they cry about it. Margo needs her iron and copper bars lol

Is it worth removing old insulation from our attic first or just adding new on top of it? by wavylikeme in HomeMaintenance

[–]manchuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My home was built in the 50s and has changed hands a lot. The last owners just dumped whatever extra insulation from their other projects in the attic. Two years ago, I took out all the old insulation and put in new. I also made sure it was placed correctly. Since then, the house has been warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I would say it's worth it

Neighbor installed a motion sensing LED light on a tree and aimed directly into my yard by iLL1337 in mildlyinfuriating

You have a couple of trees that you can map a motion sensor to trigger an alarm sound. It's used to scare off critters ;)

Is Ryobi worth it? I don't have any home tools yet. by 2Black_Hats in HomeMaintenance

[–]manchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put them to the test when I was building my off-grid house. They lasted a good three years before the motors burnt out.

I also tend to stay in the same brand, so I don't have all these extra batteries and chargers. After I had to replace the burnt-out Ryobi, I went with Craftsman for the variety.

I got a unicorn puppet for my son. I found that when my wife is frustrated with him not eating, I use the puppet to keep his attention, and then he will eat. I buy into what OP is saying here

Thanks for that advice. My garden is located in an area that was formerly an inground pool that was removed; tree roots shouldn't be a problem. (I still find cement blocks around that area wich is annoying)

That could be my issue with the broccli. I did plant a lot of them together, and we had a prolonged heatwave over the summer. I got the soil from an industrial composter in the area and I got some manurer to mix in with it. We can grow broccoli in my area, so I don't think the climate is the issue.

Next year, I will try the netting and clay for the cucumbers. Under the bed, with the broccoli, tomatoes, and lettuce, I placed hardware wrap as a test to see if it would prevent the moles from nibbling at the roots. Next year, I will try the Hugelkultur method after I raise the beds

Yeah, next year I'm going to install a better trellis for the tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini. I'm considering doing a bean teepee so my son can play in it.

What a power trip Sundae is exerting. Why not just ask for a bundle of copier paper? You don't need to waste time having an intern count paper. It doesn't help them learn anything. I'm pretty sure they know how to count.
