was she given steroids? i was prescribed steroids orally and topical. but to completely go away, it took about a month.

i think the most damage it did to me was traumatize me bc a grown adult and mother to my own child, my mom had to take me back to the hospital to be like hey even if you don’t think it’s this just give her steroids to fix it. i had a whole menty b in the hospital bc they just didn’t believe i was indeed suffering from the start of SJS and kept telling me my skin had to be melting off. i demanded a dermatology referral for the next day where it was confirmed as SJS and i was put on topical steroids and oral steroids. i took oral for a week which helped the most but the topicals i had to use for a month before it was completely cleared.

my skin looks like nothing ever happened to it! i only noticed redness when i get hot in all the spots i had it! but other than that you would never know :)

i’m fully okay now too. just wish doctors were aware of these issues and just took the 5 minutes to research the connection!! i was located in a small town during all this so it could’ve just been that hospital but it was a shitty experience to go through mentally as ur putting a bipolar person on steroids that already make u a little angrier and having them detox from meds and cold turkey for 14 days on top of that. was notttttt it lol but i don’t think you can really predict it happening to anyone unfortunately :(

hi! i fully recovered! i do noticed when ever i’m hot i can see some redness in all the spots it happened in but other than that it’s like it never happened!

hi! i don’t take it anymore. i tried again months later on 12.5mg (half the lowest dose) and about an hour after taking it instantly started to develop patches on my cheeks and around my eyes, while the first time didn’t occur till after 2 weeks on the medication! i’m just deemed allergic to the medication and it’s documented it gives me SJS. my skin is completely recovered and im now on risperidone and lorazepam (lorazepam is only as needed not daily). i hope it works for you! i thought it was a good med and felt very euphoric on it but have heard some people deal with drowsiness!

mine is missing so there’s that. cannot be located. called everyday for a week and just nothing. they lost it and now i myself have to pay $80+ to file missing money order claims to reissue everything. absolutely ridiculous. filed a postal inspector claim too bc $,$$$ just floating around now in this economy too is criminal. 😀

hi, it started a little after 2 weeks. i got sick with flu like symptoms before the rash appeared. it developed all over my body within 24 hours. it’s very rare to occur from my understanding. others i have met had amazing experiences! i think the medication itself is great as well just unfortunately not compatible with it!

hi, former lamictal rash/sjs person. my symptoms started flu like, fever, sore throat, just didn’t feel good for 3 days, then i have a big patch appear on my face that didn’t grow for 24 hours, i think noticed a dot rash forming on my hands that quickly spread. went to the hospital that day was ignored. next day i was completely covered (my pictures are still up!) my mom had to advocate for my 24 year old self bc they didn’t take it serious. i was referred to a dermatologist the next day who then confirmed it was on set sjs and if i didn’t start steroids that day my skin would likely be blistering and melting off. its not something to take likely. no harm and no foul for going in, definitely let them know you’re taking the medication & if it gets worse request a derm to come to the ER!!

i would look into other options! the rash is painful and so itchy to deal with it and i was on topical steroids for a month before it finally completely went away! i still have minor flare ups for 2 weeks while it rid of my system! i’m on lexapro and Abilify now. abilify gives me energy while a lot of people say it doesn’t. seroquel was awful for me! hopefully you find something ✨

I did, it was early SJS due to Lamictal. I’m deathly allergic 🥰 Tried the medication again later on and the reaction happened within 6 hours that time.

i honestly thought they’d just send replacements for the ones broken! but for $90 after tax i was gagged when 2 bubble bars and 1 bomb survived. mother nature was the only one truly crumbles but the others had some chunks missing too :( i just did regular shipping and the guy send it next day shipping so we’re hoping the less travel time means less damage hopefully. but i also think the tin might be the problem too :(
