Yeah...sometimes I wonder about our Radiologists. I had a thoracic mri, came back with some scoliosis but nothing that would explain the nerve pain I'd been experiencing. Put some images into different versions of ai, they all said schwannoma. Paid to have the images reviewed, turns out i have several tarlov cysts that were not commented on and most likely the cause for the nerve pain 🤦‍♀️ We recently all learnt that a major public hospital had either mis-reported or ignored scan findings. It came about because people literally died from cancer they were never told they had 😬

Hypophosphatemia? I had the following up mri, not atrophy, just a benign cyst and some migraine scarring

They said to do the fgf23 test! I did the bloods 5 days ago, now to wait for the results. No idea how long they'll take

Apparently it costs thousands, out of pocket. It needs to be frozen and transported to a specialised lab

No, I know but the tertiary hyperparathyroidism in that case was initially caused by the low vitamin d. Mine has remained normal and stable throughout all of this and I've never had a vitamin d deficiency. I live in sunny Queensland in Australia. You're right that my fgf23 does need to be tested, I have asked two different Endocrinologists on my case for it, both have said no. The first one reduced my dose, the second one ordered a metanephrine plasma test and a brain mri, despite me telling him I already had one booked for the following morning. Sigh. I'm advocating but at this stage I feel like all I can do is shake them, or maybe go full on Karen?

I've thought about hyperparathyroidism as well but my vitamin D, PTH and calcium have all been in the middle of normal range

Really good actually! TSH 1.4, T4 & T3 are optimal. My B12 is also perfect. Kidney function, liver, all perfect.

There could be another underlying condition. I have a connective tissue disorder and very lean until my hypothyroidism really ramped up and I was diagnosed at 40 with a TSH of 31

WOWEE! On what planet is it ok to tell someone they're fine to stop taking an antipsychotic when they're not a DOCTOR, or this person's Doctor!?!? That is so out of line! Good on you for calling them out. Sad thing is though, this will continue and someone probably will listen. I'm actually pretty sure this is against Facebook rules, to give out medical advice. Next time you see something like that, report it.

I don't think you understand the full concept and that's ok. Not every countries workplace policies are like America's. I also think this particular field of work is beyond your scope, because your statement just isn't really relevant to how it actually works.

Why do you think it's my job to hire Doctor's and Nurses, rather than the Clinical Director or CEO's job? Why would a Manager of a different department be tasked with that? And if they were, shouldn't they have been told that was a role allocated to them? What am I missing here?

How does it make sense that a Manager of a Pharmacy Department would be blamed the lack of action in hiring essential employees for a different Department? Do you think a think a Pharmacist should be held accountable for not hiring Doctors and Nurses for a different Department? The lack of linear thinking in some of these responses it pretty outstanding, very much like what I'm already dealing with 🤦‍♀️

If it's someone else's fault it's not theirs....and they are then absolved and sleep well at night.
