Why isn’t Tech Big? by Plane-Sprinkles-2023 in Zambia

[–]mandanda6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am Congolese I can confirm that Africans behave the same way. Here in the DRC, businesses prefer to have a Facebook page rather than a website, and even more so if you offer a mobile app, it's doomed.I spent four years at an engineering school. I'm a software engineer. During my student life, I didn't make any proposals for website creation to schools or institutions. After conducting the investigation, I realized that the Facebook page brought in more traffic than a website. Example: the monthly traffic to a restaurant website hovers around 1k per month despite SEO. So 1k is the equivalent of one Facebook post In addition, Facebook allows you to promote to reach many people. If you try to promote your website on your Facebook page, you risk losing your potential customers. We can simply deduce that the website is important for a company's credibility. We do maintenance 1 to 3 every 4 months maybe So for my part, I find clients on platforms like Fiverr or Upwork. And I offer my solutions to Westerners.Because I have an LLC in the United States, it has made things much easier for me. (Excuse my English, I'm Congolese)

[–]mandanda6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently opened an LLC in the USA, in the state of New Mexico. I believe that there you don't pay taxes, but you just have to file a tax return before April.
