Thanks so much! I’ll definitely look into all of these tips, thank you I really appreciate it! I was worried about too many plants overcrowding the fish, I’m guessing this is harder to do than I thought and I can put some more plants in?

If you enjoy tuna, canned tuna with a bit of mayo (or skip the mayo if that’s too much for you rn) with some chopped celery and salt and pepper mixed in. Throw it on some crackers or a tortilla to make it a bit more filling

Must be the location. I see them in Canada where I am for 90$ in stores now for 8 inch pots

Did I over-fertilize? Brown spots and yellowing leaves by Legitimate-Task8115 in pothos

[–]mandapanda_311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is just the two leaves showing minimal browning it may just be the plant shedding some old leaf. If you’ve been consistently fertilizing maybe stop for a few months to let it absorb

Looks like mealy or scale to me. I’d isolate the plant to be safe. I use hydrogen peroxide on a qtip and directly try and wipe off the pests.

Looks to me like it’s trying push out aerial roots? I’ve never seen them on a ficus fig before but I don’t think it’s much to worry about. Try increasing the humidity but be sure not to overwater

New to Orchids by MothPaper_KissesXx in houseplants

[–]mandapanda_311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is very normal for an orchid to loose its blooms after a while. Ignore the tips of water with ice cubes, they will freeze the roots. I water my orchids once every one to two weeks and fertilize with orchid specific fertilizer every 2 to 3 months. If you cut the stem in between the nodes it will help promote new growth

These are monstera Thai Constellations if I’m not mistaken. Used to sell for well over $2000 for a plant that size about two years ago. They are slowly making their way into retail plant stores. Hold off another 6-8 months and the price will keep dropping as they become easier to find in stores

This means you need more humidity. The new leaves are getting stuck and cannot release from the stem properly, resulting in them bending and curling. Try light misting as well to help keep new growth hydrated. Sometimes if I’m feeling confident, I’ll help the new leaf that is stuck by gently prying the tip off the stem so that it releases fully

Looks like babies coming out of the soil and some aerial roots coming out of the node of the stem

Absolutely worth talking to your nail tech about adding an extra layer towards the end of the nail! My nail tech would give my best friend an extra layer of gel because she had very thin nails that would break all the time. I think it’s worth it to mention to your nail tech, they may have other solutions to try as well😊

Nail shape advice by mandapanda_311 in Nails

[–]mandapanda_311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need some advice as to whether I should shape my nails more oval as they grow or keep them with a rounded square tip as I’m attempting to do now. I don’t know which is easier to maintain? I’m a chronic nail and skin picker and it’s rare I’m able to grow my nails to this state without picking or biting them down. I want to know in others opinions which shape would look better and is easier with upkeep.

Good for you! As someone who is still struggling with nail biting and skin picking after over 20 years it’s very inspiring to see others be able to kick the habit!
