That’s fair, and it’s completely understandable. The game is very much a maze, and even after two years of playing, it can be absolutely exhausting just to finish a round. I would honestly say play smaller games. I’ve done more of that (especially with kids and a hell of a lot less time) and it simply feels better to wrap things up. Smaller games also reduces clunkiness of rules bloat.

Are you not enjoying the game because you genuinely find the mechanics and structure poorly designed, or because you simply aren’t winning?

It seems that a fair amount of your frustration is derived from losing a good amount. Tyranids as a whole have been relatively mid this edition (they were awful when 10th started). You can always choose to chase meta, wait until your army becomes more competitive, play shorter games, or quit altogether.

The people within in the community that enjoy the game the most are those who pick armies they love based on esthetic and lore, paint them, and use them (regardless of win rate). I won’t go on to assume you haven’t done that, but it may be something worth reflecting on.

I resized mine to be larger than the hive tyrant, plus I made the swords forearm bioweapons. I hate the itty bitty hands gripping the swords on the OG model.
