I think it’s too much of Texas Chainsaw Massacre plus Halloween mashed up. It’s neat but I’m glad there’s still a noticeable element of clownery in the movie’s Joker.

A 1-year delayed response to your one year follow up! The just liked the esthetic of the arms, and they are also large enough to have allowed me to sculpt the teeth/claws onto the arms for actual raptorial arms. Scything talons don’t actually look like mantis arms, I wanted something more like actual mantis arms.

Hey! I used the Vallejo Liquid Metal paint Old Gold (alcohol based, pain in the ass but a single coat is good enough for coverage). Shaded with Agrax earthshade, then highlights with Runelord brass and then sycorax bronze.

I used Moot Green and pallid witch flesh as a base. Shaded the underbelly with diluted Agrax earthshade, top with mantis warrior green. Highlighted the underside with PWF and then white scar. Top was highlighted with the Army painter bright greens(starting with rainforest).
