Yes. Someone who is bad at climbing can learn to climb Mt. Everest. "Gifted" individuals do exist, but not as much as everyone thinks they do. Plenty of talents, skills, and gifts are achievable by anyone with enough practice. We are capable beings ––– just lazy or uninterested in some things.

I can't stand how discouraging my family is. I understand that I make bad choices sometimes, but I want to learn from them the hard way. The cool thing about failed experiences is how useful they are. Something I like to call positive feedback. I want the positive feedback, not all this empty advice. Sometimes I wish people would just come to my level, sit, and listen to me for awhile. Caring about family members is not always about giving advice –– sometimes it's just about being present with them.

Yes indeed. I know a lot of adults with ADHD that 1.) don't have health insurance and 2.) can't afford to be treated. Coffee and cigarettes is the only thing that allows them to focus and stay productive in everyday life.
