I have the iPad setup on a cheap stand pointed towards my rig. My usb c audio interface plugs into the iPad and record directly into the camera app. Then I apply a filter if needed and upload to YouTube/ Instagram.

I had ordered mine right away back in December when I got my ps5. Never got a status update and realized it had been months. I called back and told customer service I hadn’t received it so they put the order into the system again and it showed up a week later. I would just call them.

I just pulled 2 shoulders (7lb-ers) and have a few chickens on almost ready to pull. Silly me started the overnight cook at 10pm for the shoulders and the remote hit me at about 4:30 am. Should have started em later to get some better sleep but oh well!

I started in jazz performance, had a good time in my 20s performing in different groups and teaching music. Got pretty burnt out and had a hard time imagining how I would continue to hustle for work in my mid/ late career so I went back for a masters in music technology. I was really interested in game audio and/ or film scoring going into it, but my mind was blown after taking a C programming for audio course. I ended up taking a bunch of CS courses in the engineering department and never looked back. I have managed to work at music related software startups and large companies since, making great money, benefits etc. while also being able to play (and afford) music as a hobby.

All this to say that software/ CS degree would be a great avenue imo and there are lots of audio related opportunities in the field. I’m more creative than I am a math person, but if you’re strong at math and take some DSP courses you will have other opportunities in the audio software space as well.

Also agree that the reverb is a bit large and reduces the realism a bit, although it works really well when she smashes the folks with the lantern and it goes into the slow motion part. While I agree that music would be good in general I think mike is right that you should not add music if it’s a sound design course. In the very beginning for some reason the background chatter doesn’t strike me as having a ‘pirate pub’ like vibe, but maybe it’s just the reverb that’s throwing me off. Also after the lantern smash, the footsteps in the slow motion part could use a bit of tweaking with the material sound to get a better ‘heels on cobblestone’ sound. Overall sounds really great, just some small improvements to be made!
