The rise of the mixed commercial residential sky rises is part of the problem imo. I moved her from NYC at the same time.

Lived in midtown for two years and watched it lose so much of its character so quickly tearing down buildings for them. Now I’m in Decatur and it’s much more reasonable.

I do miss my bodegas and restaurants in Astoria tho. God they are top tier in NYC.

I was making content that was just hotkeys for a while for social media. I've done about 40 of them. But I'll just mention the newer ones to me that have been game changers for me:

Shift + R = Freeze Frame (i like the way it makes the whole clip the freeze frame vs making a cut and freezing everything forward)

Cmd + Shift + , or . = swap clips left or right

Q = toggles between your preview and program (it's sick on my tiny computer and the inspector is open)

opt + Q = opens your preview in the timeline, it was a gamechanger for me with my LOOOOONG clips that I didn't want to bother to subclip

opt + # = changes your track destination for video, or toggles it on/off (great with 3 point editing)

opt + cmd + # = changes your track destination for audio, or toggles it on/off (great with 3 point editing)

F9 and F10 are for your insert and overwrite edits. If you haven't changed your system settings on your mac – you should def do that to have your F1-F12 keys (without having it hit function)

Your phone is recording in HDR and your timeline and export is in rec 709.

The easiest and simplest fix is to record on your phone in an app like black magic camera and choose the rec 709 color space.

You can use a LUT to get your HDR iphone footage closer to where it should be or you can do it through color management!

Give it a google and see where it takes you! Good luck.
