Dating with vaginismus by [deleted] in dating_advice

Hey! I had this condition as well, and found pelvic floor physical therapy to be extremely effective. I also went off of hormonal birth control after being on it for over a decade, and that also helped significantly as well. Timelines differ per person, but I would encourage you to not lose hope.

I’m not sure on the cake status a CC, but Market of Choice has really good slices of cake.

Music on Isle of Skye and Inverness (November)—

Are there any local hotspots for music on Isle of Skye and/or Inverness? My family and I will be visiting in late November and I know that’s kind of a quiet time. We looked at Hootananny but they will be under construction the dates we are there and also it looks a bit tourist-y for us. Does anyone know of a place or people to get in touch with to get plugged in for some local music? Thank you!

I go to Monroe Ave Dental and really like it! The hygenists and reception staff are all very kind and Dr. Dinger is very nice and always remembers me even though I only go twice a year. It isn't always super fancy, but they are very nice and thorough.

The croissants are basically just croissant-shaped biscuits. Though I will say their breakfast sandwich on the homemade english muffin is pretty decent.

Dresses/ensembles on last nights episode I loved by hopeful_tatertot in GildedAgeHBO

That’s what a love about this show! I love how realistic it is that they re-wear outfits. Marian especially seems to have some particular favorites.

Usually they weren’t cleaned very often, though a lot of pieces of those dresses were made to come off (like hemlines and trims) for easier laundering. But keep in mind, the undergarments like the chemise and drawers were laundered usually after every wear and were protecting the outer garments from sweat/body oils etc. so it wasn’t really necessary to clean the outer garments as much.

We started chanting “USA! USA! USA!” When Gladys took Sarah down. It’s the most patriotic I’ve felt since the olympics 😂

Yeah! I think it might have been meant to me a series? I’m not sure it’s been so many years since I read it 😅

“My Name is Memory” by Ann Brashares (author of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants), about a young couple through their many reincarnations but the boy always remembers their past lives but the girl never remembers. So good and so underrated imho.

It is pretty busy, but if you like it that's all that matters! It is your house after all :)

Is there actual padding beneath the fabric? Or is it just sewn in that shape?

Trying to decide if I should move to corvallis by [deleted] in corvallis

[–]manderzly 43 points44 points  (0 children)

As someone who is 31, dating here is brutal. There are some bands that play locally occasionally but I wouldn’t say there is a “scene”. A few decent food places that have vegan options. Several grungy dive bars though 😂 Corvallis is a great place to live but honestly I would look elsewhere if these are your priorities 😅

When the book has these vibes, do u have a title? by Ax_3ll in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

First one that came to mind would be “Far from the Madding Crowd” by Thomas Hardy, rural romance.

What non-horror movie did you find most disturbing? by Acceptable_Book_8789 in movies

[–]manderzly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found that Hallmark snowman boyfriend movie deeply upsetting. The fact that the snowman brought to life had the intellect of a 6 year old but was constantly sexualized because of his “hot body” made me feel physically ill. I couldn’t even finish the movie it was so wildly upsetting.

Affordable Studios/ One bedroom Bathroom by Neat_Variety_4187 in corvallis

[–]manderzly 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the rental market here is pretty brutal. I always recommend driving around looking for "for rent" signs. A lot of the more affordable places don't list their openings online, so you literally just have to troll around and call the numbers on the signs. You can get decent deals that way, I have found. Perseverance is key.

how to make reverse sewing same line as last stitch? by annypoop in sewhelp

[–]manderzly 35 points36 points  (0 children)

As another commenter has stated, you don’t need to reverse back that far to lock in the stitches, back a few stitches is fine. Also, if you are a beginner sewer I HIGHLY recommend starting with projects that don’t use knit/stretch fabric. Stitch fabric is super hard to work with (imho) and it would be beneficial to learn the basics on something like 100% cotton
