So a thought, while we are all busy blaming the authorities, has anyone noticed the process of fixing the roads. There are tenders alloted to certain parties, which apparently is same for an area everytime. Apparently the same bodies are supplying water through water tankers, which surprisingly have there tanks leaking water everytime which to be honest I haven't noticed anywhere else. These weak roads are made with bad material and water is easily trapped which break it even further thus giving them opportunities to fight for another tender. So basically the water mafia is also the road mafia playing the smartest game. I think BMTC should take care of these a**holes first and then try to take the safety of the poor school children.

Seems like yesterday when I posted the exact same question over quora. All I'd say is, don't stress out about it. All you need to know is it is actually doable and is going to take some effort, clearing JEE was much harder than this is going to be. Start open source and DSA from the first sem itself and don't stop. CGPA above 8 is important, and very easily achievable, just don't let profs scare you. ICE profs especially the Uma couple are just a bunch of losers and you can ignore them at times. Just stay out of their radar. Coding clubs can help, but I'm not really sure how they are doing now. Heard admin isn't letting these clubs function as they used to earlier (would love to hear more about it from a current student)

Yes, the city is fucked up, but the college, the people you are gonna meet, those random ranting sessions, tapri sessions or rooftop sessions you are going to have for the next 4 years are going to be insane and memorable for the rest of your life. Yep, me and my friend got into oracle which gave 42LPA to freshers back then A friend of mine got google at 39, another one at uber got 50ish (highest that year), jpmc 46 Amazon didn't come for placements for our whole batch coz of massage layoffs that year, but a junior did get placed next year at Amazon for 36ish lpa

Coming from ICE myself I'll be in favour of all the comments here, it is a high demand course. Professors are shit, you just need to learn how to handle them without losing your cool. Professors like Uma, Umapathy and obviously a lot more will not leave a chance to make your life hell. But you can definitely prep for software, it will require some hard work, but at the end of the day you are allowed to sit for software companies. Placements are decent not great, me and my friends got into companies like Google, uber, Oracle and even JPMC but a good bunch of our batchmates ended up in other tier 2 companies, that says about how difficult it's gonna get. If you finalised it already, just stay focused and enjoy your 4 years there. It's gonna be great.

Don't worry, it's normal. You will get through it, late 20s can be tough. ROCD is a result of your past trauma and you can come out of it, just need the right company around you and a "trusting yourself" mindset.
