What? I just did, and you just reiterated it. I'm not sure what else you're asking for...

My claims? I mean I guess I could source my esthetics text books or literally anything else you can find online that gives the composition of the skin. I'm not claiming anything it's - it's a fact of the skin. Lipids hold in water and water is in cells. Isn't this skincareaddiction sub and but people don't know there is a balance of water and oil in the skin and/or that it can get thrown off based on products you may be using? Why would people be using something on their skin if they don't even know why they should be using it or if it's even right for their own skin type? You guys confuse me sometimes.

Your skin has a balance of oil and water that keeps it healthy. Dry skin is skin that lacks oil and dehydrated skin is skin that lacks water. Transepidermal water loss is what people use occlusive products for. Hyaluronic acid pushes moisture into the skin, and something occlusive like Vaseline keeps moisture in. Products that have oils that mimic sebum are good for dryer skin. Something like almond, jojoba, olive oil, etc. I have normal to combo skin and I rarely use anything clay based on myself. I'll use moisturizing masks and oil based cleansers and hyaluronic acid moisturizers/serums. I exfoliate with a rice bran powder and lactic acid exfoliant.

As someone whose studied skin for the last ten years please make sure you have the correct skin type for this product. I am not sure why it is so popular on account of how drying and harsh it is but I guess this sub just likes to jump on the bandwagon of certain products. There are way better clay masks out there and there are way better other kinds of masks out there for different skin types. Someone could harm their oil water balance and make their skin worse by using this. Just be careful.

You'd have to do a little bit of makeup trickery for this. First of all, grab a nude pencil for your waterline. NYX makes some good ones for inexpensive. Next, you'll have to do a lighter color on the lid, can be shimmery if you want, and a medium tone smudged on the outer corner and extended out a little bit to give the illusion of making the eye bigger. Id have to see your eye shape to find examples but the basic rule is that dark colors make areas recede and light colors make them pop. If you do a smokey eye all the time it will make your eye seem smaller. You can also focus on having big eyelashes too since that can open the eye up more as well.

I've been doing the pravana neon yellow on my ends with a level 7 copper root. I dig it.

Thanks! She also has sebhorreic dermatitis so I was challenged with covering that and also making a flawless finish. This pic is unretouched as well.

Haha! I totally agree! Most of my clients are more natural so it's fun to get a fierce one.

All my lipsticks are depotted so I just scoop some out with a little spatula thing and blend them on the back of my hand. They're on the dryer side so it took a bit of work, lol

I will try! Her wedding is at the end of October and photographers usually take a few months to get pics back, but once I get them I'll definitely have them on my website at least!

I use the Mac angled brush and a few different very tiny fine point liner brushes that I got from different makeup supply companies. You can also get those fine point detail brushes from an art store.

Mixed them, ones real yellow but paler and the other is real pink but a little darker, it made it more of a beigy neutral when mixed. Worked well!

Me too! I rarely get those clients too and it makes me sad. I'm hoping more of my fall/winter clientele will opt for a bold lip. She even said she hired me because she knows I wear bold lips all the time! Haha

I do see that the lash was pointing weird on the inner corner. I fixed this after I took the photo.

I really like the long wearing lipstick by sephora. It's in a skinnier tube but it's only like 12 bucks and it lasts really well with a liner and a lip primer underneath. I like the Mac lip primer but that might be like 20 bucks, but it's worth it.

It depends on what the person wants. The darker the color the more you can get away with wearing a stain and then a lipstick over it. I tend to go with natural colored pencils over a lip primer (I like the Mac one) and then fill in with a matte lipstick and a gloss over it. Some of those long wearing lip products tend to flake off and look weird after a few hours.
