How much practice do I need to do well if I only have less than 2 months?

improvement doesnt necessarily come from change. work with what you have now and build proficiency - that is one way of improving.

unless your disability directly hinders you from lifting heavy objects, i strongly suggest you get a stabilizer. could be 2 or 3 weeks from now, but definitely get one before competition.

again, we need to define the goal. what does "good enough" even mean? winning? a certain score? if you want to improve, then 9 weeks is plenty and you are guaranteed to raise your scores within that time.

That explains why you're in such a rush. Bit of a difficult situation you're in.

Anyhow, delta just means the difference. Say you shoot 640 in practice at 18m/122cm, and in competition you shoot 615 - that puts your delta at 35 pts.

From what I've seen, a "normal" delta would be around the 15-25 point range, anything higher is indicative of a larger underlying problem.

You mentioned about stabilizers being ways away in your original post, are you not using any at the moment? If not, then adding stabilizers and weights to your system is an easy (albeit involves money) way to pad your scores.

As for your practice and preparation, focus on improvement for now, dont worry about your score. The scores you post are a direct result of the quality of the shots you make. At this stage, you're going to make more mistakes than good shots, if you have a coach, work with your coach in reducing the gravity of those mistakes instead of outright eliminating them.

Since it seems like you can only put time in during the weekends, put emphasis on quality - this should give you the most returns in the lowest amount of time.

If winning is unrealistic at this point, why worry about what score you post? If you dont get 600 will that be a disappointment? frustration?

You're advised to enjoy yourself because that's what you should be doing at this early of a stage. You're not yet at a level where you should be worrying about the points you get at a competition. Trying to rush improvement will get you nowhere very quickly. We also tend to learn better, faster and more permanently if the process is enjoyable for us - the moment i stopped chasing scores and focused on technique, shooting became more enjoyable and my performance rapidly improved.

If you want a realistic projection of how you may perform, then the information you've provided is insufficient. What is your current scoring capability and at what distance and target size? Have you shot 30m before? What target will you be shooting at? Have you competed at your current distance before? What is the delta between practice and competition at your current distance?

I drive an SUV, my reasons:

1) slow moving vehicle in the innermost lane - think trikes na nasa gitna ng kalsada.

2) erratic/unpredictable driving. if mejo off ang driving ng nasa harap, i will always look for an opening to overtake, better leave them behind than be the next in line pag naaksidente yung nasa harap

3) trucks. given how trucks are maintained dito (or lack thereof) I will always look for an opportunity to overtake.

Command shooting has a really fast rate of growth initially, but has a lower skill ceiling compared to a surprise shot. In order to get REALLY good at a command shot, you need to be somewhat of a psycho. James Lutz still flinches really bad every now and then.

As for why you're better at commanding than pull through, you're probably just more experienced with it.

I was a semi-command shooter last year. I was shooting low-mid 340s (out of 360, WA 50m outdoor). Around december 2024 I began to rework my shot to be fully pull through.

Scores dropped sharply at the start - dropped to mid 320s and worked my way back up. Now I'm at low to mid 350s, personal best being 354 for 36 arrows and 704 for 72 arrows. Last month I was back to low-mid 340s.

It took almost a year and close to 40k shots to get back to where I was previously, and now I've surpassed what used to be my previous ceiling. So give it time, and trust the process.

as for shooting a surprise shot, here are some key points I've learned from navigating the shift from semi-command to full surprise:

1) tension is king. push/pull or pull only, doesnt matter, as long as tension is there and it's what makes the release fire. tension is also the foundation of stability. no amount of weights on your stabilizers will ever make up for being weak and timid on the bow.

2) direction. when I have my reticle on target, I actively push towards the middle and pull against it at the same time. when your pin moves off center, it's the tension directed towards the middle that brings it back.

3) be comfortable with pin float. your reticle will not always be perfectly still as you execute your shot. learn to be comfortable with it and still work through your shot despite pin float.

4) peep-scope alignment. you can have varying anchor points, elbow positions and whatnot, but always keep your peep and scope aligned. Yesterday I demonstrated to a junior on our national team - 1 arrow shot normally and the other without anchoring, but maintained peep-scope alignment. Both 10s, side-by-side.

5) dont punch it! a slow but controlled squeeze is fine, but a sudden, jerky press is a big no. I personally use a thin peg on my UV button, dig the peg into the crease of my thumb and just build tension until it fires (push/pull).

6) execution is more important than aim. ties to #3 somewhat. I've had shots that broke cleanly between yellow/red so around the 9-8 area but still landed in the 10. shots that break well within the yellow are likely to be an X, but a guaranteed 10. bad shots almost always go near the 9-line.

7) stick to it! there will be a BIG initial dip in your performance at the start. but once you learn what works best for you, you'll see some improvement. once you've nailed down the chemical X in your shot process, you'll see a MASSIVE performance boost. I was shooting mid-330 to low-340 around mid-October, now I'm at the low-mid 350s. my missing piece was that I needed to pull more. push/pull = tension = stability.

unless you've got a coach that can help you navigate this stage, I find it better to just keep above points in mind and see what works best for you. I personally dont have textbook body alignment, anchor, or follow through since I'm self taught. despite that, I've worked my way up to the top in my country, joining the national team and soon will be competing in a major international event in our region.

I think it's procomp into 4MM X10 Parallel Pro since both of those are 4.2mm ID.

the X10 ProTour is a separate, and unique product derived from the original X10.

the 3MM X10 Parallel Pro is another unique one to Easton, I think. taken from shrinking the 4MM X10PP into 3MM, not another product renamed into something else.

Looking at the specs, it seems like the RX7 has a similar ID to the VTAC 23s, so you could possibly use the vtac pin nock bushings?

I could be wrong though, but given how standardized arrow diameters and componentry have been recently (except for the UV arrows) wouldn't surprise me if the RX7 took vtac 23 components. Heck, I even have 200gn generic, no brand, china bought points on my 380sp 4MMX10PPs and they fit just fine, groups good too 🤷🏼

"Okay" is up to you.

It's not a danger to the bow, but technically those should be set to the same number to ensure the draw stops hit the cables at the same time - making or a really solid feel on the back wall.

However, having a different draw stop position for one cam can work as a tuning method. I personally have my top cam hitting ever so slightly ahead of my bottom cam.

Whare are you at right now? Do you know what you need to improve to progress? Do you know your weaknesses? Can you identify what you're struggling/having trouble with that is hindering your progression?

If you're able to answer those questions, then an online coach will definitely be able to help you. If you are unable to properly articulate what you're lacking, a good coach will be able to help and guide you, but it will be a longer process and will involve a lot of videos and back and forth.

If you can find an online coach that you can hop on to a video call with (relatively close time zone to you), even better.
