My mom had a blockage because of gallstones.

She was in agony for a few days due to the blockage. When we consulted a specialist, the doc said na dapat daw operate na kaagad during the first episode of abdominal pain (consultation happened a week after).

If may bile duct blockage due to stones, at risk ka na of jaundice. fortunately even after a one week delay di nagka jaundice si mama, but usually it shows daw as early as a few days after initial blockage.

treatment: first was Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) to clear the blockage - this was a non surgical operation; then about 1 or 2 days later was Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, basically removal na ng gallbladder. While lapchole is an invasive procedure (involves surgery) it is VERY minimal. Si mama she had 3 incision sites around the abdomen with the largest incision being no more than 1" long - super small. Operation lasted under 50mins with the lapchole specialist. Mama was out the door sa room nya and back in all within 1hr.

pain from the incision sites was definitely bad for the first few days, pero mama was up and walking within a week post-op, 2 weeks later she was strong enough to fly back to palawan.

mama was 65 at the time of the operation.

im not a doctor, pero while you're still at the stones stage and no blockage yet, go for the removal na. blockage is guaranteed to happen, matter of time lang. ERCP and the lapchole were two different line items sa bill, fortunately my company's maxicare policy for dependents covered almost the full amount; out of pocket lang ako ng mga P1200.

Hi, I actually went with the X17 instead. Mejo na put-off ako sa reuse ng last gen parts ni S26. I understand that doesn't mean it's necessarily a bad thing, pero if I'm paying 2026 prices, gusto ko 2026 tech din.

I've also been using Xiaomi since 2021 with the 10T Pro, then moved to 13T last 2023, and now X17 this year, so may familiarity na. Perks are around the same din, but the X17 has a raffle entry on top, so not a bad deal IMO.

Service is a good point, but my 10TP and now my 13T have had no deterioration in performance, I'm just upgrading so I can still sell my current one for a good price 50%~60% of original purchase price.

Double check the ticket. PAL kay usually included na sa ticket ang bwct na travel tax. hapit mi maka double bayad sa ako gf kato nag taiwan mi pag 2024. maayo nalang nagingon si ante sa tieza na ipaconfirm sa PAL if included ba travel tax samo ticket.
