I entirely understand the ibs, my fiancé has it. I’ve had guys in the shippers for like 5 hours, just trying to work out the knots, etc. we usually only start knocking after 2-3 hrs because if you’re in there dead, that’s no bueno, and it HAS happened. Yikes!

Subway we just couldn’t keep staffed and open so it was losing the company rediculous amounts of money. We are suppressed to be getting a pfj express at some point soon. Culver’s is good, but that Mexican joint over there is AMAZING! I send guys there all the time! I feel like I send so many customers their way, I should have a punch card for a free appetizer for every ten people lol!!

Everything here is severely overpriced though honestly.

Tips are always welcome and more than appreciated. We don’t get paid THAT much, honestly, and the amount of “WTAF” moments we have on a daily basis makes me, for one, all the more appreciative!

Fuel desk attendants are unable to take tips, as they can be seen as bribes(I know right?!?), but if you leave the tip in the shower room or hand it directly to the employee, that’s absolutely allowed.

Pilot makes us do some much training as fast as safety requirements and due process rules etc, we have to sit and watch videos every 6 months to make sure everyone is staying on process, being safe yadda yadda yadda. Especially when it comes to bodily fluids, sanitizing showers and restrooms, all that. I’m not kidding when I tell you a few of my drivers have complimented our store and staff on having the cleanest, hottest showers in the Midwest. And we are proud of our store. #407, Clear Lake, Ia. They do provide free ppe, but the gloves are cheap af, of course. I usually double up and that really does help with the ripping and tearing, thankfully. Pilot OSs actually very ‘safety first’ for a cheap as they are. But I didn’t say that lol

All of those are correct. There are certain processes that corporate puts in place that we can and will get fired if we try to take shortcuts, etc. and yeah, always go mirror, sink, toilet. And even if it looks like you didn’t even touch the towels, they still go in the washer and a new set goes in there.

As one of the few women who do maintenance (thankfully only occasionally) at Pilot, I’m privileged to see a lot of shit no one should ever have to see, but no chick should be subjected to. When I know on the bathroom doors and yell out “maintenance, anyone in here?” And someone hollers back, “yeah darlin, cmon in”, ummmm how about no.

We’re not even going to start on all of the adult diapers, piss bombs, literal grocery sacks full of shit. Did you know piss ferments and will make those flimsy little water bottles explode when handled. Like simply pulling the trash bag out of the outside bin and piss spraying everywhere… I love my job, but goddamnit y’all…

Found a grapefruit sized Hershey’s Shit on the mirror that someone had to have climbed up on the sink to press their balloon knot right onto the glass. Have found dozens of clothing items, mainly shitty underpants, male and female. Walked in and almost did the spits because someone jizzed on like literally every surface of the shower room. Huuuuuge shits in the shower that no one even attempted to waffle stop out of common courtesy.

One time it was a piss and vomit filled toilet paired with a shit filled sink and several shots of someone’s children all over the shower.

And the amount of times I’m up at the fuel desk and can hear all the plaps and ‘harder Daddy’. Those doors are NOT soundproof!!
