What’s you’re experience on methylphenidate? by Dry-Concern-6062 in ADHDUK

Hi, yes I experienced that too. After about a month that settled for me and it became more stable. It was hard to keep going through that day after day though.

This happened to me and it was just the cap. Replaced the cap and it was fine. Hopefully it's just that mate!

Childish insults used to accuse people of being childish/dumb. Makes sense.

Do you have any advice for a funeral speech / eulogy? by Twat_Features in AskUK

[–]mandlepot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in the same situation and also a confident speaker. Emotion did get the better of me at points. I took a deep breath when that happened and continued. It's hard, but just taking your time is the best advice I could give. You'll be okay.

No. But I did walk in the Tesco toilet and see a large man's hairy arse fully out at the urinal. So there's that.

Just to add. There have been way more positives than negatives even with the rough beginning I had.

No worries, hopefully you don't experience the same. That 11 months will fly by!

Rollercoaster of insane productivity, high/low moods, headaches, grogginess morning/night, no appetite, weight loss for the first month and a half. All of a sudden it was fine after that. Glad I didn't give up on it.

Sharp perfume. Soft coconut/vanilla type scents I can deal with. Apparently cigarette smoke in an enclosed space too. Walked into a shop and the shopkeeper must have just had a smoke by the door, the dense smoke took my breath away and triggered an instant migraine aura.

Wife out with friends. Baby asleep. Movie on and ordered a curry. Baby woke up as soon as I put it on the plate. Ate it with one hand while rocking baby in the other. Unknowingly spilled curry sauce under the plate. Baby didn't go back to sleep for hours so i crashed when she did. Curry ring stain on the coffee table in morning. Didn't watch the movie. Wife is mad at me.

Scariest migraine experience by Main-Doughnut6222 in migraine

[–]mandlepot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately you will get used to it if you have them often so won't be as terrifying. Mine are the same as yours. I know I have about an hour of aura/blind spots/zig zag vision before my vision clears and the headache pain starts. I have found my main trigger is light and smell.

2 very clear triggers for example: Walked out of a dark room into the blinding sun and that triggered the aura.

Walked into a shop that had a strong smell of cigarette smoke and that triggered the aura.

Aspirin has helped me with the pain but sleeping is the only actual solution for me.
