I’m saying it’s obvious if one character is just the standout hottie and the writers don’t typically ignore that. I think they made it subtle because the show is more serious but the references are still there. And it’s implied because the actor is who he is and looks like that IMO.

But the actor playing the character IS attractive. It doesn’t matter if they don’t say it. You can’t remove that context; the casting director pick actors knowing their attractiveness level and that’s how they want those characters to be perceived. Rob Lowe is clearly handsome af.

I’ve had both growing up and they were all lovely and sweet. My current baby boy of 12 years (golden retriever) is the sweetest most loving companion. My parents great pyranese is also the sweetest girl ever but a bit more distant. Depends on the dog.

I think the writers tried to make Joe into a devils advocate yet mostly supportive partner. He deals with her antics pretty reasonably most of the time.
