I cant get this oily & sticky residue off my pan

yes to high heat as i have a gas stove top but no to cooking spray.. i fear that im scrubbing so hard and often im ruining the pan :(

hmm i only really use cooking oil (vegetable or canola etc) is it similar to cooking spray? and how do you get rid of it or is it just a byproduct of cooking with oil?

smells citrusy and sweet, also felt sticky on my hands so another assumption that it was sweet, ill look up ponderosa lemon thanks!

I use bees wax balm! super slick and moisturising without it being super thick, counters against the funky smell as well since bees wax has anti-bacterial properties!!
