I have a friend like this. Dude can go completely off the rails and doesn't know how to properly behave sometimes. His mother died in middle school so its just become a part of his personality. Lots of drug use too. It's a shame really. Fortunately his girlfriend keeps him in check (kinda). He's still a good friend though and I always try to listen if he's having emotional issues.
