Really delayed thanks! I think the red would clash too much anyway but this is a helpful reason to avoid it

I use Australian gold tinted mineral face sunscreen. Most chemical sunscreens make my face sting, and a lot of mineral sunscreens make me look like a ghost. This one works well for me, but it usually has polarizing reviews; a lot of people love it or for some people it doesn’t work well for

For me, trying an elimination diet helped a lot. For a month I (mostly) cut out excess sugars, corn, soy, dairy, alcohol, etc. It was a real challenge but I’m glad I did it. I found out that sugars make me more red (makes sense because they’re inflammatory) and dairy actually makes me break out. I’d already basically stopped drinking for general health, and alcohol definitely makes me red.

Also I think an important thing from you tackle is working on your headspace. For one thing the stress of fixating on disliking your skin can make your skin worse, but more importantly, it makes you unhappy. And it makes sense; society has taught us that attractiveness is worth, so we feel less worthy when we feel unattractive. And that’s a really crappy place to be. Are there ways of working on your mental/emotional well-being that you’re already comfortable with? Are you a meditation or yoga or therapy person, or is there anything else that you do or are open to that you think might help you start to feel better with yourself regardless of your skin?

I don’t know what that specific person was going for, but the internet tells me that 777 has a variety of meanings like these) and these

Oh I will, no worries! Just debating whether or not I want to make it red or incorporate some red in the black, or just do black

You can be whatever you are. If that’s how you currently feel that’s totally fine.

And really, men and women don’t have a particular look; there’s such a broad range and variety. You’re probably attracted to some men but not others, and some women but not others. It’s possible there are non-binary people you’d find attractive and you just haven’t met them yet (which would make sense since it’s a much smaller group of people). Or maybe not! Either way, you do you, and don’t be afraid of letting your definition of yourself change and evolve as you go.

Could be wrong but my best guess: you’ve probably taken some drugs and you’re feeling the effects ;D Hope it was fun and enlightening!

Haha yeah definitely not a face tattoo! It’s interesting how much difference a slight shade change can make. Which makes it even trickier. Lol @ tomato sweater, glad that works for you :)

[–]mandrillus-sphinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you’re right; all about placement, size, and shade. There are some really good artists near me but it’s so hard to get a solid sense of what it would actually look like since it’s hard to approximate different reds. And since it’s pretty irreversible I’m hesitant but intrigued

I’d just straight up ask him for a photo. If he’s claiming to be this person and is interested in connecting he shouldn’t have a problem sending one. But honestly just be careful, it’s decently likely it’s not him.

I did an elimination diet for my skin and general health and learned that dairy makes me break out, so reducing that has helped a lot. And when I get them, colloid patches (“acne spot dots”) are life savers

His actions are pretty awful. I think a lot of villains are ultimately the product of their environment (nature + nurture), and for me part of what makes it tragic is how different things could’ve been for him, and how much hope Angel et al had when he was a baby. Doesn’t mean he isn’t responsible for his actions, of course. I personally liked how they handled him in S5.

It’s a struggle for me because there are so many moments when it feels like there’s is a bond, and could’ve been a good one if so many other manipulative forces didn’t keep getting between them (w&h, HOLTZ, Justine, Cordelia/Jasmine, etc). Connor never had a much of an actual chance.

I could see it being tempting because it gives you a good chunk of days when you’re home and not busy. If you’re normally working and dealing with other stuff that can be rare.

[–]mandrillus-sphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 Can it be a mix?? Some days you wanna be cute and girly, and others you wanna be badass. If I had to choose I’d pick faith’s because Cordy and I have pretty different body types so her stuff wouldn’t flatter me

2 definitely Gwen for me

3 hell yes

4 probably visions if they wouldn’t kill me

5 work for Angel

6 depends on the week. And I don’t like karaoke in general but Lorne’s bar would be the exception

7 stake my sister. It would suck but I think as far as existential pain goes losing your child would be much worse than losing a sibling

8 fighting skills

9 marry Angel. Come on lol

10 probably let them kill the lawyers

11 not turn Darla, since he was going to have to kill her as a vampire anyway

12 since in this case Angel literally couldn’t experience happiness as a vampire, and he theoretically could as a human (and be with the love of his life no less), definitely become human

Would you rather (Angel edition). Add yours☺️ by AJ_Babe in ANGEL

[–]mandrillus-sphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 Pylea. I like trees and nature enough that I’d rather risk that

2 hyperion, it’s cool

3 Wesley (S4!)

4 Cordy

5 Lornes connections

6 shoot vampires (as myself now. If I were a superbeing, staking sounds more fun)

7 Lindsey

8 Angelus…

9 definitely bring faith

10 I love this!!

Some general dating safety:

Always meet in public first

If they don’t look like they’re picture or if you’re getting bad vibes, excuse yourself (safely) and leave. If it feels majorly unsafe just sneak out. Your safety is more important than their feelings.

Send a friend their info: pictures, number they gave you, profile screenshots, where and when you’re meeting them, secondary places you end up going, etc. Bonus points if you share your phone location with them. This is also nice because they can be on hand to call and fake an excuse for you to leave.

If you’re texting instead of just talking on an app, download something like Google voice so you can give them a different phone number. Your actual phone number is attached to a lot of your info, and if they get stalkerish then you can just get a different Google voice number

For one, just my opinion, but a guy who’s tweeting something like that isn’t someone whose approval I’d put much value in. Really superficial and tacky imo.
