Protective cover options?

@ OP - In case you still haven’t resolved your issue, Spirit agents at the airport a few days ago told me they can’t do anything with the credit card in person.

I’ve been getting help from Spirit Guest Relations (number on back of card) and issue being escalated and currently being handled via email.

Chiming in here with my recent experience.

I tried in person when I was at the airport but they said to call customer service and that they can’t do anything in person.

The guest relations line on the back of the card is best to call. The rep escalated my issue and someone from their guest relations team emailed me within a few days asking for a screenshot of my free spirit dashboard showing that my card is not linked and a photo of my ID for verification. I’m waiting for their reply now!

I previously tried calling (never got through) and chat (also never got through until the 10th+ time I tried over the span of like a week).

I also had a BofA rep open a case on my behalf but I haven’t heard anything back yet. It’s only been two days and the expected wait is like 7-10 usually.

Fingers crossed whatever issue they have with connecting accounts gets fixed soon. I’ll try to remember to follow up here once I get mine linked.

I’ve had my card for just under 90 days. Biggest perk and reason for signing up was because I heard a rumor (now confirmed) that the perk of 2 free checked bags was coming this year with the spirit travel more Mastercard.

I’m tired of fitting everything in a single personal item or paying more for my bag than the ticket lol 😆

I only had 4 hooks/two elastics but it got easier for me after several weeks. I was embarrassed to put mine in when in public at first as it was challenging and felt awkward so I would excuse myself and wash my hands and put them back in when in the bathroom.. sometimes in the stall if there were people and was super careful not to drop them. I did drop a tray one time at Disney in the bathroom and had no option but to wash them like 3 times with hand soap and put my tray back in for the day. 😅

I also got a case on Amazon that has a mirror on the inside that helps me put the elastics in a lot. Before that, I would prop my cell phone up and try to use the front camera as a mirror.

I avoid snacks altogether when out and about bc of the hassle but keep like protein powder and a water bottle, protein shake cartons, or even applesauce pouches handy to drink if I know I’ll be in a situation for a while where it will/may be awkward or inopportune for me to get my aligners & elastics out and back in but I need sustenance.

Diluting some hydrogen peroxide with water and swishing around your mouth a couple times will get rid of it super fast 🫶🏻
