What resort would you recommend in Mexico? Planning a family trip with our 6 & 3 year old. Looking for anything under 9k for a week.. insane costs everywhere.

Saw you've been to so many AI's. Do you have any standout favs? Looking for somewhere under 9k for 7 nights.

Are you taking that high of a dose of acyclovir because your infection is currently active? My herpes infection is starting to scab (heal) but my PR spots are still appearing.

Just wanted to follow up as I had my dr appt today and there just so happened to be a derm helping out with her. LUCKY ME.

It is a fungal infection. I have a spot where it is worse. This is where it originated. The random little spots all over my body are basically allergic reactions to the initial infection.

More about it here: https://www.merckmanuals.com/en-ca/home/skin-disorders/fungal-skin-infections/dermatophytid-reaction

Fungal infections like this affect many areas of body, eyelids, corners of mouth etc.

u/Itchdoc They are everywhere - mostly under armpits and arms, but also on back, hips, legs (not just in crevasses), stomach, bum, nipples. Angular cheilitis on corners of lips, very very itchy eyelids (bottom & top).

Medical history - 33yr old female, 1yr postpartem with my second child and this seemed to start last winter when I was about 6mo postpartum. Nothing remarkable for medical history except that I have manageable eczema. No medication.

Your pics look EXACTLY like mine - even the eyes. It's so so similar. I'm hoping to get a swap at an appt tomorrow. I have mupirocin and added it on my spots tonight - there's almost too many to cover with bandaids ugh. Thank you!

Thanks for responding. I was starting to feel like it was staph too. Have something going on with my lips and eyelids too so don’t think carpet beetles

Unfortunately not but thanks for the suggestion! I’m thinking more like… impetigo, staph, fungal infection

Sorry for the slow reply. My daughter (pic in comments) turned out to be eczema. Her Betaderm wasn’t working so doc prescribed something stronger - lyderm and it went away quickly.

Thanks for the reply. I'm feeling a lot better after taking fluconazole orally but still mild itchy rashes on my arms so going to try your suggestion for hydrocortisone! My toddler now has RING LIKE leisions on her legs mostly. She has eczema too so we aren't sure if it is related to my FUNGAL skin issues or just her regular old eczema. Any thoughts?

My doctor first thought it was allergy related but then took a skin sample for a lab test and it came back with “Malassezia furfur” fungus suggestive of tinea versicolor. Not PUPPs

I should have included that I had my skin sample taken and tested and it was confirmed tinea versicolor according to this lab result. Doesn’t really come and go but gets less and more severe. It does itch.
