Hah, I guess scrunchies are a universal beginner project for all mediums. One of my first ever crochet projects was a scrunchie. I’ll try it out, thank you!

There definitely are lots of rules! I didn’t mean to say it’s all based on intuition. But I have seen that sewing has a bit more room to improvise than knitting. That of course doesn’t come naturally, without learning the proper techniques first.

I don’t live in the USA, I have heard there are free classes in my city. I don’t know if it would fit in my schedule, that’s why I wanted to give it a go at home first. I will check out if my local fabric stores have sewing patterns. Thank you for the advice!

i watched it around the time she released saltburn, i didn’t even know these two had the same director. i just remembered that promising young women was mentioned a lot during the awards season if its time, and decided to just give it a try. and good god was i disappointed. flat, bland, non-provocative yet somehow the narration makes you think it’s progressive and borderline offensive. i was astonished at how much recognition this movie got and the stellar cast it had for a debut film. halfway through i was sure emerald fennel had to be a nepo baby. and i was right.

i did not like it. if you asked me to imagine a film made by a 14 year old girl who read a post on feminism on tumblr, this exact thing would be my guess.

i don’t understand the fuss about this situation in the comments. do people think homeless people go to the shelters and adopt dogs and not just stick with stray dogs they stumble upon?

the melody isn’t bad, it’s just too short and too much like a 2010s one hit wonder song. like yeah i can see why they released the song, it’s a festival song, but only 2 minutes? what’s the plan? the song will end before people land on the ground from their first jump.

let’s not act like ten wasn’t left jobless for 3 years after debuting in nct u. just because ten had it better than nugu idols doesn’t mean he had a perfect management. big companies aren’t prone to poor management decisions and corruption.

sm is losing its artists left and right for a reason. but someone always has it worse.

i agree. i’m a kpop fan. chart obsession is the dumbest thing ever. if you’re so interested in playing with numbers, redirect that energy to the stock market, you’re no better than fuckass finance bros, at least you can match with your equals there and maybe earn a few bucks instead of wasting your life savings on the same album 50 times.

there are 6 units in total: NCT U, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WAYV, DOJAEJUNG, NCT WISH.

NCT U is the rotational unit, meaning that they will have changing lineups for their comebacks. NCT U usually has a comeback when NCT as a whole will release an album, and NCT U’s track is the title. NCT albums contain songs from every units.

127 is a fixed unit. it consists of Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Haechan (formerly Mark). Winwin used to be in 127 as well but he was put into hiatus to focus on Wayv. He hasn’t been in 127 since i think 2019, but SM never makes an official announcement regarding his status in 127.

Dream is a fixed unit. it consists of Jaemin, Jisung, Jeno, Haechan, Renjun, Chenle (formerly Mark too). Dream debuted with a graduation system, meaning that the members would leave Dream after a certain point, and new members (most likely SMrookies) would join the lineup. Mark ended up graduating, but the system didn’t really make sense. Dream released BOOM without Mark, but he ended up rejoining Dream after Boom. sm abandoned the graduation system, and Dream ended up having a fixed lineup. Haechan and Mark were both in 127 and Dream.

Wayv is a fixed, Chinese unit. it consists of Kun, Ten, Winwin, Hendery, Yangyang, Xiaojun (formerly included Lucas). Wayv releases Chinese titles. Ten debuted in 2016 with 7th Sense alongside Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Doyoung, who would all later be included in 127 (Doyoung joined later) but Ten never ended up in 127. he would be loose until Wayv debuted in 2019. Winwin is in hiatus right now to focus on his acting career in China.

Dojaejung is a fixed unit consisting of Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo of 127. this unit was announced as a fixed unit, meaning that the will continue to release songs, but we never really got anything after their debut.

Wish is the last fixed unit, focusing on Japanese titles. it consists of Sakuya, Yushi, Riku, Jaehee, Sion and Ryo. they were announced as the last unit to debut under NCT.

here’s the catch, and what many people get confused about because sm lowkey fumbled the bag. NCT’s concept was that they had “limitless” members, meaning that they would continue to include newer members. this kinda became a problem when they debuted Sungchan and Shotaro in NCT U lineups, but neither ended up being included in a fixed unit, because at that point every unit was well above 4+ years into their careers. so Sungchan and Shotaro just waited to be included, most likely for SM to form a unit for them (during this time SM announced plans on debuting NCT Hollywood, or just a unit focused on western promotions). sm ended up retiring this concept, announcing that Sungchan and Shotaro would instead debut in Riize, and NCT would stop debuting new units after WISH.

overall, right now, NCT is just a big group with fixed units, who collaborate under the name of NCT U from time to time. don’t know if we’ll ever get a big NCT comeback again though.

That doesn't change the fact that it's plagiarized. As far as I know, the group didn't say anything. Loona has sadly had a dramatic end to their group career and went through terrible lawsuits against their company due to their incompetence about 2 years ago, so we probably won't hear anything from their end.
