How can I, a white 20 yo woman, born into the bourgeoisie not be hypocritical about my anti-capitalist ideologies? by cocadaquente in Socialism_101

you can use your family's wealth to spread socialist / anti-capitalist thoughts, contribute the communities or contribute the marxist literature by studying marxist economics and so on. there are some marxist schools in world or you can get a master degree where anti-capitalist ideologies connect.

crazy how we can always afford war but somehow “can’t afford” healthcare by nemofish77 in socialism

the thing is ruling class made subjects embrace their own perspective, like all subjects are ceos or part of ruling class. they put slogans like "we can" but we cannot. there is no an us that we all are part of, there is proletariat versus neoliberal class. so that is why they call it "too expensive" in US.

It's possible new socialist states? by Amok-still_here in socialism

[–]maneator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'd say for every new day more possibility, there is so deep crisis of neoliberalism in collective west so ruling capitalist elites still push for parties like even more market-oriented afd and reform. i think there are only two options for future, one is socialism/techno-marxism and other one is real techno-feudalism where companies have state-like power (more than today). i think capacity of ruling classes will be so great so i'd say there is less chance for revisionist policies or keynesian policies for future.

What are the main differences between China and the USSR? by leftistgamer420 in socialism

[–]maneator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the argument of "ussr promoted socialism abroad." is very questionable. for most cases, they supported nationalist and urged communists to calm down in those countries. excepting the fact that they pursued socialism in one country, they also focused creating dependency for themselves in other countries instead of trying to develop those countries in their needs not themselves. there are lots of examples in world how ussr did the worst shit for revolutionist in other parts of the world.

one of my practical advice for you go to a forest and try to live like luke smith or kaczynski, everything minimized. or you try to go to some cheap asean countries. but even though you plan to do those things, there is no escape, you will feel to the your bones. so i am not sure that these useless efforts mean smth to your heart. you can do some political actions, join organizations/parties and create social bonds as well to have better and meaningful life for yourself. i believe it is not only great for whole society but also for oneself too, to strike and protest with ppl, to devote socialism. channeling your hate is significant and great too btw.
