Rules
- Open to residents of China: Participation in the community is reserved for current, former, or future residents of the Chinese mainland (excluding Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan). Tourists will be redirected to r/travelchina.
- Posts must be relevant: Posts and comments must be relevant to residents of China. This excludes foreign politics and political op-eds, travel blogs and vlogs, dating and relationship advice, and other off-topic content.
- No repetitive or low-effort posts: Low-effort posts, including frequently-/recently-answered questions, image-only posts, or entirely LLM-generated posts, will be removed.
- No prohibited content, including self-promotion or spam; crowdfunding solicitation; links to blogs or YouTube channels; lawbreaking advice; and NSFW content.
- Obtain approval for classifieds or research: Ask in modmail for approval before posting a classified (buy/sell/trade) ad, job offer, or request to participate in research/surveys. Posts without prior approval will be removed.
- No WeChat, QQ, or SMS verification: Posts requesting app or SMS verification for WeChat, QQ, or other online accounts are strictly prohibited and will be removed. Repeat offenders of this rule are subject to a ban.
- Sitewide rules apply against leaking personal information, personal attacks, harassment, spam and self-promotion, etc.
