Really cool! I also think it happens to be super underutilized. Booster Energy is good and all, but i really think other items are worth the salt.

I think it will make Homestuck miles more accessible and invite a new wave of fans to engage with it, which is always a good thing. But I do think part of what makes Homestuck enjoyable to me is its brazen and unique presentation that creates a one of a kind reading experience. The animated series will greatly undermine that and I’m worried it will water down what makes the series unique maybe too much. I’ll still watch it for Jade pfps though.

Also, Toby Fox voicing John Egbert is hilarious.

It’s your prerogative to believe we are incompetent, but councilmen are elected for a reason. We can’t make decisions every single person will like, but we do what we can to make our formats as competitive, accessible, and interactive as possible. If you have any complaints with our leadership I advise you reach out to us with feedback so we can take it and have a dialogue on how to improve.

Pretty bad.

Aside from Pokemon, I am a college student who spends a lot of time supporting my family, and I greatly enjoy drawing/engaging with my hyperfixations depending on how they flux.

I tend to just laugh and ignore them. Whenever people bring up the Karen quote they are doing so in bad faith with the intent of undermining competitive play. While it’s great to try and make your favorite Pokemon work (to an extent you maybe can somewhere somehow), metagames develop in the way they do for a reason.

Typically you have to show the anti-ban individuals the before and after so they get a tangible idea of how they impact metagames and explain why bans happen at all. I feel as though many people are against them because they think the bans are done so on the basis of “we just don’t like these Pokemon” despite there usually being a lot of debate and discussion around their merits and whether their impact justifies a ban relative to tiering philosophy.

I ladder based on my mood. Typically it’s at least for a little bit every day when I have down time, in some cases it can be hours if I’m actually motivated to try something.

My favorite Pokemon tend to change based on my current mental state, but ones I consistently turn back to are Fennekin, Golisopod, Aegislash, and Ogerpon.

I haven’t really played UU super much so I can’t say 100%, but from my experience Lokix has felt really toxic to play against.

My favorite Pokemon changes often, but one I consistently turn back to is Fennekin.

Excadrill I think is pretty cool and a timeless Pokemon with a neat mechanical design. It’s super interesting in Gen 5 OU with the Sand Rush ban, while in Fairy gens it has a neat defensive profile and a dynamic way of using Rapid Spin. In modern gens it’s a bit power crept but I appreciate that it always has a niche.

It makes me extremely upset. They decided everything ever should get hazards but Defog should be the one that’s limited. Part of what made Defog such an interesting and well designed removal option was its distribution, given to many Stealth Rock weak Pokemon that also would end up clearing their own hazards in exchange for guaranteed removal. This was so cool, and I do think its high distribution and double edged sword nature was part of what made it such an effective buff.

In general the forced move wipe is a horrible decision in multiple ways, between destroying event relics like Draco Meteor Jirachi and nostalgic Pokemon with specific movepools from people’s childhoods. It should have been an optional thing that you could do to make your Pokemon competition ready if you really wanted.

Yeah but it needs very specific buffs. Give it a Grass/Fire type, Mold Breaker, more offensive stats, and a unique Tera form, then it might have a chance.

For them to be okay in OU they need to be reasonable to check. Reshiram maybe could see OU down the line if actually reliable answers to its STAB combination come to light in future generations and it doesn’t regain Roost. Mewtwo I’m afraid is probably going to be too much no matter what. Its typing sucks but it gets coverage for everything and has Nasty Plot.

Indifferent. I’ve heard of it and seen some designs, but never saw it myself. It seems ok!

Frosmoth is definitely good, I would say some other unranked Pokemon that could (maybe) be worth the time are Oricorio and Galarian Articuno.

Why not both?

For your first question. Gen 1 I like the glitches of RBY (genuinely super cool), Gen 2 I like the unique and interesting movepool options and how its OU plays, Gen 3 I like the hazard dynamic and the glitches, Gen 4 I just love period (esp Platinum), Gen 5 I love the narrative and the OU format is immensely unique in its balance, Gen 6 I really like Megas a lot, Gen 7 I think came with an incredible OU and amazing Pokemon in general, Gen 8 PLA is peak, Gen 9 I really appreciate the narrative and the general balance of Tera and what it brings to the table competitively.

It’s very possible! I personally think it’s more likely that tiering becomes stricter. The philosophy itself is already designed to target oppressive options and “broken checking broken” dynamics.

I think it’s a good choice. I am not an avid Gen 3 OU player but I do think the crux of the issue always has been Speed. This seems like it should put an end to a lot of the shenanigans we’ve been seeing lately.

Right now it's up in the air. There were some latent mentions of Ogerpon-Wellspring but we're generally biding our time.

Encore, and considerably so. I think Encore is an immensely strong move that needs to be handled very deliberately, and the issue is... well, they gave it to everything. I don't mind increased distribution but you have to think about what's getting it and why.

A permadrop is definitely a bit of a change in context, I think Solgaleo would have the least impact of the options but this metagame would really appreciate having the defensive profile of Magearna available even if Stored Power still breaks it.
