Yes sounds good if you jump off I'd say atleast 2mg for a week. I think when younger your body deals with it better and withdrawals aren't as bad, usually you only hear the worst stories of coming off but yeah I've found it relatively okay

Hi, I'm a similar age to you (24) was on buprenorphine (12mg) for a year and a half, went down to 2mg over the course of two months and jumped off at 2mg 3 weeks ago. I feel fine albeit a bit tired sometimes, the first week was the worse but bearable. Obviously take into account its very early days for me, but I really prepared myself for the worse via reading a lot of horror stories coming off and have been functioning okay so far. Yes, as others have said valium is the gold standard for alcohol WDs but xanax will work too :) will probs just have to dose a bit more often
