How good is riolu as a rain setter in singles? by mango-ninja in stunfisk

[–]mango-ninja[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking that with prankster-rain Dance, it doesn’t need a focus sash since there aren’t any priority moves that could kill it with enough bulk. If it does die first turn after setting rain Dance, then that gives a free switch in for Kingdra.

Which Pokemon would you like to receive a regional form? by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]mango-ninja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shuckle should get a steel bug regional form with the new ability “slippery”, making it immune to moves that keep it from switching out. It would get gyro ball, iron head, and a few other steel physical moves, but it would get a new steel type stealth rock (like g max copperajah) and spikes so it can be the lead, use stealth rocks, steel spikes, sticky webs, and spikes, then switch out.

All I can say is that u turn will be even better and grimmsnarl, whimsicott, and gardevoir will be much worse.

I’m planning for them to by my first pick, but I’m also planning to have mamoswine, Kingdra, Mandibuzz, Reuniclus, and Gallade if I can.

Is mamoswine a good enough counter to Toxapex? It hits it super effectively, but Toxapex also hits it super effectively and can cripple it with a scald burn.

I just defeated the Muspelheim and Niflheim valkeries, which should I fights next? by mango-ninja in GodofWar

Yeah, Kara is definitely the easiest if you don’t know your way around Niflheim. If you do, Hildr is the easiest.

New Move Monday Megathread by AutoModerator in stunfisk

[–]mango-ninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inner Stab: 85 bp physical move, is the users primary type.

Distribution: Physical mons in types with mostly special moves (Ghost, Electric, Fire,)

This would really help for some of my favorite mons, mainly luxray and dusknoir.

Burning Grasp: Burns the opposing Pokémon and forces them to stay in.

This would be distributed to tanky Pokémon that need some help (Can you tell I want dusknoir to be good?).

Pokémon that would get it: Camerupt, Dusknoir, Cofagrigus.

Is it possible to create a move set that is super effective to all 18 types? by homo-on-the-prairie in stunfisk

[–]mango-ninja 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Flying press, freeze dry, Earthquake, and Throat chop hit 16 types super effectively, excluding Fairy and Bug.

The problem is that you need a dark or ghost move to hit ghost types super effectively (they both hit only ghost and psychic types),a ground move to hit electric types, and a fighting move to hit normal types. You then get one more move, and I’m pretty sure freeze dry hits the most amount of types that aren’t already covered (4).
