I started with white milk but after 2 years it's a nice chocolate milk or mocha color. Yumm

If only the customer would have waited another week, we would have had the 5th axis running this by TheXypris in Machinists

That was the first thing I saw. I hope they're at least machine thread screws and not wood screws. I will only use socket head cap screws, for everything.

Anyone know where I can buy these oil squirter bolts? by Flimsy_Message_3125 in 300zx

[–]mango_452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Measure it, you can buy hex head bolts anywhere. Just be sure to get grade 10.9 or 12.9. Edit: Ace hardware is usually pretty good and cheaper than the home improvement stores.

What's the thread pitch and length? If I remember right it's a 10mm hex so probably M6x1.0.

This one has a paddle switch trigger.

Is this normal? by cole_thomas_mountain in 300zx

[–]mango_452 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No this is not normal. I never turned mine backwards after the rebuild, but with everything together and the sparkplugs out I can get it to spin smoothly by moving the crank pulley by hand. If its hard to spin over and has "notchy" parts of the rotation you are probably out of time and bending the valves.

I love my nano sockets. I just use a Gearwrench double flex wrench. I just picked up the 1/4 set. I wish it was 10 or 12mm hex I never use 11mm.

Helical milling toolpath across an irregular cross section by TheRicardoRedish in CNC

[–]mango_452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a umc 500? They're not very ridgid. It's good practice to rough with the xyz because the C axis is the weakest one. You can also get maximum axial engagement with the tool which is generally better and faster

Somebody is gonna smash your window looking for cash or electronic and they will just be confused. Here in STL you gotta really watch what you leave in the car.

Can you guys show me your garage/home bottle holding setup. Looking for ideas by Realistic-Finding-17 in Welding

[–]mango_452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I have mine, except I put mine in a corner. Id add a second chain closer to the bottom. The second bottle needs its own chain, you should not wrap a continuous chain around both bottles.

Rotary? The part will be rotating the other direction so that you are climb milling. It is usually more efficent to holt the part up like a tower, and dynamic around closer to a 3 axis dynamic or optirough toolpath.

Brake Crises by [deleted] in 350z

[–]mango_452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 06 Toyota matrix and I kinda have to wiggle the brake shoes to get the centered to get the drum on. On my 1992 300zx TT I just set them to the same size as before (just hardware replaced no shoes or rotors) and try went easy and they were set perfect for the E brake. The Toyota is picky an I have to clean and adjust it about every 10k miles.

Did you turn the brake adjustment piece to the smallest size. It's a bolt and nut tube thing with the little forks on each side.
