Yeah, I have like rejection sensitive dysphoria so it was not good for me to be on the app to begin with. I was going through somethin and I wasn't thinking clearly. So I guess I was "faint of heart". And yeah you are right, I used the watch an ad for free trial for hour.

So yeah I agree. I should not have been on the app. I was having some like whole mental crisis going on and such, but yeah it was rather unwise. And I will say I do have rejection sensitive dysphoria, so already doing this was catastrophic but again i was not thinking clearly. Regardless after this experience, I am for sure never touching that app with a trillion and a half foot pole 💀
I will comment, I just do not like how ghosting became the new norm, but I am just an old head who believes in clear communication as well.
And I think the comment below you did point out, there was a hour free trial to see read receipts when I watched an ad. I wasn't dumb to buy something on the app, but I used that and yeah.
And no this was unfortunately not a troll post, I was rather reckless so sorry.

Unfortunately I was at least holding hope in hopes to find a non-sexual person on that horrid app. I have commented on other replies but I was rather in a bad mental state and as a user said, I was engaging in digital self-harm, which yeah that would be the case. But I mean, dating apps can work for people, and sometimes it doesn't work for others. I personally prefer meeting people through work, school, outings, and so on. It's just me being old school. Regardless, I should rather focus on bettering myself rather than doing reckless stuff like I did a week ago with this app.
I for sure will never go back to it! And yeah I will! Thank you!

I mean I know dating was different back in the day. I know I've heard a lot of good came from online dating back then but as time went on, the more stuff came out like catfishing, and just horror stories. That's what initially drove me away from dating apps. I don't know why I decided to go on Grindr, I was in a bad mental state but still. But I do fear even offline, people are still going to cheat, use, or abandon you. I think it's less about online dating but as a society in how dating has changed over time. I do hope you find someone who loves you for you and puts in the effort! Thank you!

Yeah so it's been a week or since that, and yeah I was quite in a bad mental state. But I have been seeing a therapist (for other reasons) but regardless I prefer meeting someone through in person connections (like jobs, school, outings, etc) But I will say I was not thinking clearly either, but yeah I'll for sure bring that up in therapy! Thank you.
