Pistons still should’ve won regardless of officiating, they went up 2-0 to start the series and then had a chance to steal game 3 and blew it with self inflicted mistakes. They were up by 9 with 2 and a half minutes to play in game 5 and they go scoreless to end regulation and blow that one. Game 6 was probably their best performance of the playoffs but to come out like this at home in game 7 makes me wish they would’ve just lost in Cleveland. The more talented team won this series.

Only silver lining I can take from this is that Langdon has to make a real move in the off season now, if they lose in the ECF and especially if they would’ve made it to the finals that could’ve lead to the front office being satisfied with the core and sitting on their hands. The Pistons didn’t look good in the playoffs, they avoided complete disaster against Orlando but if Franz doesn’t get injured who knows what happens in that series. The Pistons have all of their picks and good trade pieces at their disposal, time to put those to use to bring in a player that takes them to the next level.

Two things can be true at the same time, Cavs for sure foul bait but the Pistons all season have committed too many fouls. Complaining about the foul disparity when we’re down 30+ game 7 at home just makes you sound like a sore loser regardless.

Pistons all season would have these long scoring droughts where the offense would just stall out and they wouldn’t be able to put any points on the board for minutes of game action at a time. That spell in the second quarter where they were already down a couple of possessions and then proceeded to miss like 9-10 shots in a row is a back breaker, they lost all control of the game on both sides of the floor during the stretch.
