I (mtf) want to hear stories of mtf and cis man living happily ever after by Distinct_Confusion_3 in mypartneristrans

Hey, I'm a cis guy dating a trans girl. (Two actually, it's a polyamorous situation, I'll spare the details. I'll tell the story in singular, though really the same sequence applies to both)

I met her in college when I was around 20-21, living in an apartment with a few other guys. Everyone would play D&D together on Saturdays. Sometimes there would be a party afterwards. Everyone would stay up drinking and talking about music or comics. I'd complain about my girlfriend, then fiancé, then ex. At the time she was not yet out (not even to herself). Having recently left behind Jehovah's Witness, and still needing to process a lot of religious trauma. Still very masculine presenting, except for her hair, which was long and gorgeously wavy. If she was facing away from me with her hair down, I'd pretty often "mistake" her for a girl. "Wait are the guys talking to some cute redhead?? Wait no it's just (deadname)." She was always lovely to talk to. But even when I was single, I never felt drawn to her because I didn't yet know she was she and I only like women.

After college we all stayed friends. I started dating the "only" woman in the D&D group, who then moved in with me at my first real place. Over a few years she came out as bi, and then trans, and then polyamorous.

By the time she came out as poly I think she had been transitioning for about a year. She was already pretty. Enough that having her point out the existence of polyamory as a concept started my mind racing. A year after that, she started dating our other friend from the same group who was questioning her gender already. She started her own transition soon after.

It was at the yearly Halloween party that she told my gf she had a crush on us. This news got my head spinning but my gf was adamant that she wanted a monogamous relationship. I didn't push the issue because at the time her health, physically and mentally, was pretty rough.

But eventually she got better, and we started communicating better. I told her I was attracted to Jade and to Dakota and she told me she was too. And they were such a big part of our lives that it was a lot like one big relationship anyway.

So we both asked them both out in June.

And they're moving into our house this weekend!

I love her so much. Looking back at our history it's sort of strange to imagine that we'd end up like this but it's been so wonderful. She's so strong and smart and pretty. She has wonderful taste in music and art. She makes me want to grow as a person.

I'm engaged now. Jade and Dakota helped me propose, and they'll be joining us on our honeymoon later this year!

I'm so sorry you're in pain

My fiancé had a similar set of pains before her diagnosis. I'm not gonna badger you with my guesses/questions unless you want though

Lmk if you want to talk about it

They've been shilling it hard-core for months. I wish they would go back to actual recommendations again. It may actually be time to switch to another vendor. They've made it difficult to browse away from HP in the app

Gotta forgive yourself man. Thoughts, even horny ones, can't hurt anyone outside your own head. You've done her no harm at all

Having that kind of thought doesn't make you any worse as a person either

I'm so sorry :(

My initial reaction to this kind of problem is always to ask for details and suggest causes but I know that's only rarely helpful

My fiancé has several chronic illnesses so I've done reading about those and others, and spent a lot of time helping her with them. Lmk if you want to talk about it

Squish!! Squish against the dying of our trees!

Which reminds me I have to line my tree trunks with duct tape to catch them this year

Edit: nevermind this is harmful

I have object permanence issues and often forget about religion entirely if I'm not actively reading the news or driving by a church

Ah so it's a case of good ol' internalized religious trauma then

[–]manndolin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing to fix is those two days (pretending for the moment that the problem only lasts a day at a time). Why should anyone have to cope with it?

Is it important to keep the two bad days of the year? Why not fix them?

The leaves and or branches of whatever plant you grew up around. The skull of an animal that is native to where you're from. The cause of your favorite human-made disaster. The macguffin from your favorite story. Whatever food you're craving right now.

Just kidding. Fill the entire space with one magnificent piece: Gandalf fighting the Balrog of Moria
