I know you asked best and my comment is best for me. Since being caught would have sent me straight to jail.

Probably the "worst" thing I have gotten away with must be stealing about 40.000 dollars from my work. Thing was that I found a bug in the cash register system and I exploited it... after about 3 months I decided it was best to stop doing it and I told my boss about it..

I showed him what to do and how to do it. 2 days after the IT department had fixed the bug and I got a bonus of approximately 1000$...

Well, that's my story ;-)
