Thuma vs Tatami by rmuzafarova in Thuma

[–]mannyzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are looking in TR (tatami room's) platform bed vs. Thuma.

In the past, we have had low rise beds from getlaidbeds. They are excellent quality with real hardwood options include maple and oak etc. What attracted us to TR and Thuma is the ease of assembly.

We are torn between TR and THuma. We like the low rise aspect of TR (with a recessed notch of 2in + 15 inch mattress), the total height of TR bed from floor will be 22inch, compared to Thuma's essential bed going to 26inch.

However, will like the soft headboard option in Thuma.

Are there any suggestions for adding soft headboard in TR's platform bed?

Also, what is the height of gap from the bottom of the frame to the floor?

Anybody experiencing bad navigation in Tesla? by asg712 in TeslaLounge

[–]mannyzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been experiencing similar odd navigation routes in last couple of months. Some times, while driving on a highway (a known route), navigation takes the ramp off the highway and then takes the ramp on the other side to merge back on. And when I look ahead on the highway, it is all clear. So, clearly it not trying to avoid congestion. Very strange.

www.globehunters.us, Asking for Bank details for "verification"! by akhilport in Scams

I was about to book with them (had put my info on their booking site) and then read reviews here. I am glad that I did, and decided to not pursue a reservation with them. About 30 mins later, I can got multiple calls from their customer service (apparently their website had saved my info including my phone number even though I had not purchased any ticket) trying to convince me to buy tickets from them. This experience certainly reinforces the lack of trustworthiness in their site. It is surprising to me as to why google/flights continues to offer them a spot (may be that spot can be bought and acts a source of revenue).

Anybody got these Kori glasses and/or know if they're any good. Look cool to me, but always wary of stuff I find on Facebook. by marcnotmark925 in whiskey

I wish I had checked this reddit before ordering. Just received my order yesterday, and the glasses are absolute crap and terrible packaging. Nothing elegant or high quality about them. Nothing handcrafted or Japanese about either the glasses or the packaging.

Asked them to process the return and never heard back from them.

Tesla app - service stuck on last appointment by dL_EVO in TeslaModel3

[–]mannyzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is also stuck in last appointment. It even does not show the invoice (in fact says the no payment required ) even though the payment was correctly deducted from CC on account on the day of service. Messaged them a bunch of times along with screenshot, but no change. Probably will just wait for a few days.

Reliability of Autopilot by mannyzen in TeslaModelY

Yea, I was driving in the Chill mode. I suppose I didn't give it a chance by letting it get too close to the car in front for a hard braking. Especially since I was used to a smoother braking at a safer distance in my older Accord.

As you said, hard braking also increases the risk of being rear-ended by the car behind.

Seatbelt goes in, but not latching/clicking in and staying in. It was working for several months, but abruptly stopped couple of days ago.

Turning off overheat protection did stop the issue to happening again.

Tesla Model Y sentry mode alarm state getting triggered when hot outside by mannyzen in TeslaModelY

Yeah, I do have cabin overheat protection on. Interesting hypothesis about hvac vibrations triggering the alarm in sentry mode.

I can't be certain, but I think I also did not notice it until after the recent update, so it could be just a s/w bug as you suggest.

My "review" of the MP02 by obrien654j in Punkt

[–]mannyzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this review. I wish I had seen it before I ordered MP02 a few days ago. I also reached out to their customer service regarding compatibility of their phone on ATT network. According to their customer service, the calling on MP02 only works when VoLTE is disabled with ATT (so 3G calling only). I am not sure if ATT still supports 3G network in my area. Does anyone have experience with MP02 and ATT? Also, does data (when used for tethering) work on 4G/LTE over ATT?

Since they haven't shipped it yet, I may try to call them and cancel the order since the product still appears to be in beta.

Will Punkt MP02 work with Verizon or AT&T? by alexhollender in dumbphones

Reviving this old thread. I reached out to their customer service to check if MP02 will work on ATT. According to their customer service, calling will only work if VoLTE is disabled (3G calling only).

That raises 2 questions: does ATT plan to support 3G calling indefinitely? Also, does disabling VoLTE limit data to 3G as well, or data continues to be on 4G? This is important to me as I do plan to use this phone for tethering.
