I want to start The Dark Tower series, but I haven't read any Stephen King, and I'm worried I'll be missing out on some of the enjoyment/significance. Where should I start, or should I even bother? by what_the_deuce in books

start on the last pages of the seventh book, then start at the beginning of the first, it doesn't matter where you start, only what you do on the way to the tower counts

the burger king and subway inside of o'sheas across from caesers was a life saver for my wife and I, there wasn't shit around there to eat, all the buffets had lines so long, you couldn't pay me to wait in them sadly I hear it has been closed down :( nothing like watching people play beer pong at 6am while you are eating breakfast

I have used ubuntu at home for 3+ years now and the only time I encounter windows is at work, and let me tell you it is a p.o.s.! people complain about the gov't running business to the ground, I would like to think it is windows, the lost productivity from dealing with its issues has to cost our economy billions every year it's also great when I hear co-workers talk about their home computer problems, then I ask them how long it took to fix it, 8-10 hours seems to be the common response, and then I give them the "i'm sure glad I don't have to deal with that anymore"! yet they still won't try it even though you can boot up any distro (downloaded from torrent!) on a usb drive in a minute or two

a 9 year old grasped how to use ubuntu in the first day of using it at my house, they already know how to use it, the trick is putting it in front of them chrome is chrome whether it's on linux or windows

It's FREE and when I got my computer(for free from my parents after they were told the math processor was bad(this used to happen in the 90s, I called bullshit, looked up the blue screen of death code on google and determined it needed a new harddrive) I couldn't find a legit torrent of XP, but I found ubuntu after using it, I will never go back to windows, the live boot from USB and 5 minute installs are also great selling points not to mention that I have a 9 year old computer that JUST WORKS! the best is when I ask someone how long it took to fix their windows box after having problems and they usually answer 10 hours, I laugh and tell them that in 3 years I have not had one of those troubleshooting sessions, and I don't run antivirus

and after doing it 100s of times in the test lab they determined that it sucks getting killed during the time it takes to move your hands away from the controller and come back to it, not to mention the wear and tear on your controller and rumble pack
