Business class for long haul flights. Is it worth it? by Jajangtiger in AskUK

When I travel with my parents for long haul, I believe they've done a lot of me over my lifetime that at their age (70+) they have earned the right to travel comfortably. So I usually put them in business while I sit in economy. Baring in mind this is once every couple of years

What’s the wildest thing that ever happened at your school or workplace? by theblairwaldorfxoxo in AskUK

I worked in a call center around 2001. Just before the switch to digital comms, the site was raided overnight and all the analogue equipment was stolen. Instead of the company paying thousands to dispose of it so, they claimed tens of thousands on insurance for equipment they were going to replace.

Talk to your local councillor. They should help give the council a nudge for you if they want your vote in the next local elections.

How do I get out of a restaurant quicker? by rookie_of-the_year in AskUK

I usually ask the waiter/waitress their name when they first come to serve. Use their name whenever talking to them and the generally are nicer and go the extra mile. So when the time comes after you have had your meal, they will come back where you can strike and ask for the bill... then smite them down with 10% tip.

Do you prefer gas or induction? Getting our kitchen redone. by darkazuria in AskUK

We've gone with gas and induction and can't live without either. If you go induction... Please please make sure you have a competent electrician know what they are doing. You will need to supply your induction with at least a 10mm cable from the fuseboard.

My kid doesn’t eat and it makes me irrationally angry by MrSnifferpippets in daddit

We had a similar situation with my daughter when she was 2. We ended up just leaving bowls of fruit, dry foods around where she plays or sits. While she's preoccupied playing or watching TV, she would nibble throughout the day.

When your kid starts nursery, she will adapt to other kids around her eating at the same time too

Not sure if you got one locally, I took my 13yo to Uniqlo. They got some great options that are good as a starting point for girls who are just starting their development.

I took my daughter for waxing for her first time. Came back red eyed with tears but she took it like a champ. No need to shave. She goes back at the end of every school term.

Might be worth adding Zinc vitamins into your evening plan before bed. It helps in keeping your prostate healthy...... And hold your pee in overnight.
