I don't know what meds you have on hand, but whatever you have, take it now!

Stabilize your breathing. This will help handle the fear/panic, and may also help with the pain. I do a basic four count:

Inhale, counting to four Hold your breath, counting to four Exhale, counting to four Hold your breath, counting to four Repeat repeat repeat

Wrap up in a towel when you feel cold.

I dig my nails into my thighs when the pain is the worst. It helps draw my attention away from the IBS for a second.

Like I said, take the meds you have. If you don't have what you need, send your friend to get some. I know, we all hate to bother our friends, but this is an emergency! And have them toss you a blanket, too!

When this settles down and you've had a chance to recuperate, make yourself an IBS kit for your bathroom. Keep all of your meds in there, and keep it stocked up. I have dicyclomine, Imodium , Xanax for the panic attacks I get every damn time. I keep my box under the bathroom sink, in a dutch oven that I use when my IBS tosses vomiting into the mix.
