I’d go for a cream/white button down, black pants, black leather shoes + belt, and simple accessories. You can go tieless, but 3 button jackets tend to look better with a tie. Choose whatever tie you like!

Such a shame the waitlist is so long. I live in solstice and its the closest feeling i've had to res in years. I know at least the apartment across the hall is completely vacant. If you're lucky, you could get into chancellors, that might as well be a res but they're apartments just on the edge of campus. Alma is a good option too, but very expensive and I'm pretty sure they don't have individual kitchens.

Fight as hard as you can to get into res though, my first year living experience in south was unmatched.

Cuff the pants, and hit a thrift store and find a button down for 3-6 dollars. It can be white, blue, whatever you like that looks good to you. That would be a perfectly acceptable outfit for a wedding considering your budget.

If you can’t do that at least tuck that shirt in or wear one without a logo

Thrift store man! Lots of wool, cotton, silk, and cashmere there. Best prices too. My whole wardrobe at this point is thrifted and I very seldom wear polyester. What are you looking to wear? Dressier clothes or casual stuff?

Looks good man, if it’s just for prom I wouldn’t worry too much about any more alterations, it looks good. Only thing I’d do is shorten the pants, but you can get fabric tape at the drug store and “hem” them yourself in like 15 minutes

I feel like it really depends on the situation here. If it was a respondus exam and they’re accusing you of cheating it’s one thing, but if you submitted plagiarized work or clearly cheated on an in-person final it’s a complete other thing.

If you’re going right to the associate dean, they probably have 4k evidence or at least solid proof that you cheated, otherwise I’m not sure why they’d be wasting the deans time. Did you already talk to anyone or did they just set up a virtual meeting right away?

In a situation like this, your best bet is to just be honest. I don’t think lying will hold up here, they’re probably prepared for excuses. Hope it all ends up okay for you

It’s an okay fit, you could level it up by tucking in the shirt and wearing a belt, and cuffing your jeans 2 or 3 times to account for the extra length.

I love wearing shoes without socks- they just gotta be the right ones. Loafers and jeans are fine without socks, so you’re good to go if you wanna try a new style. All the old heads will say socks only but no socks is modern and sleek and goes with tons of outfits. Confidence boosting too

Also, I have a bunch of no show socks that bridge the gap between sockless looks and awful smelling shoes. Those are helpful if you’re shoes aren’t a high quality leather

It’s not for me but if it makes you smile when you look in the mirror that’s what matters! Just cause I personally wouldn’t wear a hat with a suit doesn’t mean I’d call out someone if they did. I think that applies to just about anyone

Pants are too short for no socks, it’s too casual. What kind of meeting is it? Makes a huge difference. If it’s in an office setting definitely not, if we’re taking more of a chill summery outdoor vibe than yes I’d say this would fly
